Heats fast and grills a nice sandwich so glad I bought it!

This is a handy compact cooking appliance for a dorm room & travel for its portability as well as using in the kitchen. The plates swap out easily to make waffles, sandwiches or use as a compact grill. Overall it’s easy to clean. There are some indentations on the sides where a waffle mix may get stuck. The smoother the better with these types of appliances. I gave it four stars instead of five because it requires plugging it in or out from an outlet to turn it on & off. I’d prefer it have a switch on it. Otherwise it’s simple to operate and heats up quickly. Getting three different uses in one table top appliance saves room. Good little item.

Good product

When I first turned the unit on it was smoking and it was giving off a very weird smell even though I washed everything before I used it for the first time. It did a good enough job as a panini press, but then the fun really starts. After one use, it looks like I've owned it for a few years and the cleanup was an absolute nightmare. There was cheese leaking out of every part of the unit after one use. It seems like the design should be much easier to use and clean up versus what it is. There is now cheese glued to parts of it that I can't even remove. I bought this based on a high rating but I would never purchase this product again. In fact, I'm not sure I'll use it again very often as it takes a long time to clean up after.

Makes fluffy waffles, sandwiches good, haven't tried the grill plates yet. All around ok except....batter from waffles gets into little crevices, not that easy to clean
