I think their function is anti-bacterial considering they protect the blemish from outside impurities while being absorbent and holding the fluid like a sponge.

Hey there! Thank you for reaching out. The dimensions (1 x 2 x 4.5 inches) is referencing the carton that the patches are placed in. The actual size of the patches per a 40 ct. carton is (20) small patches .3" x .3" and (20) Large patches .43" x .43".

Q: Do they cure blind pimples?

It depends on the the cause of the blind pimple. If it is cause by Cutibacterium acnes then yes it will resolve the blind pimple, but if this is not the cause of the blind pimple then no it will not resolve it.
