Return to a place of insanity and blood-curdling chills in this shocking sequel to one of the most surreal and gruesome horror films ever created. Heather Mason (Adelaide Clemens) and her father (Sean Bean) have always tried to stay one step ahead of the malevolent forces intent on their destruction. But on the eve of her 18th birthday, a dangerous revelation leads her deeper into a demonic world that threatens to trap her in a nightmarish landscape forever. Based on the hugely popular video game series and written and directed by Michael J. Bassett (Deathwatch), it's a psychological trip into absolute terror unlike anything you've ever known.Bonus Content: A Look Inside Silent Hill: Revelation Trailer

Wow and wow again!
Wow, what a fantastic film! Normally, I'm never lost for words as a writer, but this film: Silent Hill: Revelation 2D, is out of this world in terms of special effects, scares, suspense - and the ever so creepy nurse scene, oerrr, and the 'adorable' Pyramid Head (a superb character in the films), oh and the joy in seeing the very handsome Sean Bean tied up... (it's worth seeing just for that scene alone, ladies, hehe), I thoroughly enjoyed this viewing.I personally think this film is superior to the first one for many reasons, and I'm not going to give spoilers as that'll ruin it for those who haven't yet seen this sequel, but suffice to say, it's one brilliant film. The music is beautiful and also instils a certain eager anticipation for whatever is to follow in the next scene. Everything about this film is that impressive, it's impressed me to the point that I'm going to get the Silent Hill PlayStation games as I've read in other review comments that they are excellent too.Watch this film; it's worth every single penny/cent. And then some.Top stars from me and I'm going to pay to watch it again as it really IS that good.

Blu Ray 3D
I waited until the price dropped a little as i think the 3D films are a little pricey to begin with which is crazy as that will make people purchase the non 3d versions which is a shame as I love 3D and always have, especially for horror movies as it adds so much to the visuals. I have never played the video game so I don't care if it bares any relationship to that media. As a film it is a visual spectacle with brilliant work from the various art departments and set people. I loved the visuals of the first movie which were present and enhanced in this sequel. There are flaws as with most films but overall a brilliant hour and a half and a great addition to my collection.Bring the price of 3D down to the same levels as non 3D and I think the sales will rise and ensure the future of 3D.

Definitely recommend - very satisfying
This movie is so good. It has a great cast and some awesome effects and scares. It answers a lot of questions from the original. A very satisfying addition to the silent hill universe. Definitely recommend the first movie and this is a satisfying addition to the story.

Silent Hill - A revelation?
Okay. Now being a huge fan of the Silent Hill franchise it was only a matter of time before I purchased this blu-ray edition. I missed out at seeing this at the cinema, so couldn't wait for it's release. My review is based on the product as a whole and not just the film. The case for this blu - ray is a steelbook case. On the front - Dark Alessa and on the rear one of the blind nurses. The detail in the cover is beautiful and has been well thought out.Inside the case are a blu-ray copy of the film and a d.v.d copy. An additional digital version would have set this off nice, but hey - ho.The blu-ray version is just beautiful in every way. The picture is crisp and clear without any glitches which occasionally rear their ugly head. Lighting and colour are well balanced. This film seems to promote a lot of bright colours, which I feel slightly detracts from the colour scheme of the first film. The sound seems to be a bit of an issue with other reviews which I happen to have come across. I found the sound and music to be loud...but what do you expect. The bulk idea of the concept involved within the dark world is about rusted metal, chains, mesh, dying souls condemned to damnation, torture, psychological madness. It's hardly likely you're going to hear a breeze blowing through grass lands, with birds and butterflies! Seriously come on!The film in itself I have mixed views on. The first Silent Hill film was just sheer brilliance. It held the essence of story material. It was dark, eerie, filled with strange creatures and had you just wanting to find out more. This film follows on ten years after that film. It is obvious that a different director has sat at the helm of this ship though. After watching the film for about fifteen minutes I felt like I was watching a similar movie to nightmare on elm street. This did not farewell for me and I began to get a little dis-heartened. Then the sound track began - that all too familiar soundtrack which originated from the games and my attention was held long enough for me to continue watching. The story line has been well thought out, giving explanation to many situations that arise throughout the course of the film. The film also boasts some new creatures, although their purpose in the film still fails me. But some old faces have returned in the shape of the blind nurses and my favourite character - Red Pyrimid. I won't lie and say that the acting was the best I'd ever seen, and there was just a certain something that was lacking in this film which the original has. Not a bad film, but I expected more from a follow up. The disks have extras including behind the scenes.Although the film wasn't as good as the original it still has it's own merits. Packaging well thought out and a welcome addition to any Silent Hill fans collection.

Perfect
Though it doesn’t stick completely to the game story, that’s perfectly fine. Everyone in the movie played their roles well. But I don’t think the chick from the matrix movie should have been in it. She throws of the atmosphere of the movie, her acting is good, just the appearance. But the movie is superb to say the least. I recommend watching and owning this. It’s more eventful than the first one and I can’t wait for the next movie to come out. I am a silent hill game, music and movie fan. They have a YouTube page BTW.
