Almost perfect
It was almost perfect, I just needed half an inch more to actually fit my computer on the computer shelf (bottom shelf). Don't get this is you have a larger case, but for average size desktops and mini towers it should be fine. It was super easy to assemble and actually comes with a tiny screwdriver and miniature wrench so you don't have to have tools handy at home. It did arrive new but with a good 3 inch scratch on it that was attempted to be covered by marker, but it was on the bottom of a shelf and not the top. Considering the packaging was great with layers between the shelves, I think it had to have been a quality control issue which also passed since it was on the bottom and not the top of the shelf. I wish shelf placement could be slightly adjustable both for the bottom shelf and the keyboard shelf as the keyboard shelf is a bit high for me.

Holds up over time pretty well!
Keyboard shelf sliding mechanism is weak. Slider came off track shortly after purchase (hence, 4 stars). Would advise to provide support for this from the get-go! Other than that, this is a great compact computer cart. Has held up for 8+ years. Highly recommend.

Pleased with this item
I do feel that this is a great item for the price. It is smaller than I'd envisioned, but then, I needed something small so it isn't really a problem. I use it for a laptop desk, and even though I have a tiny 8" tablet style laptop, when I have it open to use the keyboard the device doesn't fit well on the surface of the keyboard tray or the main desk surface unless I remove the "monitor" shelf. I think, however, if you use it with a traditional desk top you would be fine. I have a small printer on the bottom shelf, I think you might be able to fit a slim vertical CPU next to it, maybe, but it would be tight or you could probably fit a horizontal CPU with a small printer on top of that. On the other hand, there is plenty of room for a larger printer if you are not planning to store a CPU on the lower shelf. It might have been nice to have a second lower shelf option as there is plenty of room between the bottom shelf and the keyboard tray for a shelf for extra storage.Aesthetically it looks fine for a metal and laminate piece. I got the espresso color and it is very dark, almost black. The faux wood grain is actually textured, not just a painted-on effect. The metal seems to have a grey finish instead of a shiny chrome finish on the frame. The keyboard tray slides smoothly but doesn't shift on it's own. The front wheels are lockable, but I haven't locked them, as I use this on a carpeted surface and it sits solidly without shifting. It seemed to roll well when I rolled it through the tile in the hall. The whole piece feels sturdy, and I would expect it will hold up well.I have built a lot of inexpensive assemble-yourself furniture over the years and this I felt was one of the simpler things I've ever assembled. Tips: do read the directions. There were some extra pieces so you should take care you are using the right screws in the right places. Also, the laminate on the wood sometimes covers part of the pre-drilled screw holes. It will make assembly much easier if you use a pencil or small screwdriver to carefully poke the holes and stretch the laminate opening. And finally, the trickiest bit was screwing the back brace into the two uprights of the frame. It was a little tricky balancing it with one person, but if you make sure the cambolts are properly aligned that will make your life much easier. I used a flashlight to look into the screwhole and visually make sure the cambolt was not partially covering the screw hole. All in all I am very pleased and would recommend this piece if you are looking for something smallish as a computer desk.

Perfect
Have a power tool it will be even easier. The desk came with everything you need. You are in a bending position most of rhe assembling if doing by your self. So get knee pads. Took me almost 2 hours to put together. I love it and the adjustable shelf you can place where you like for your use.

Makes a tiny space productive
So this is a surprisingly good find for the price. I have a corner of my living room I wanted to set up as a sort of tiny office space. I have some shelves that are about a yard up from the floor and wanted to be able to hide my desktop pc setup under there when people come over. This desk is great because it's got the little shelf for your PC and it's actually slightly customizable too. Like I left the small upper shelf off completely to fit the desk into my under-shelf space. You can leave off the media rack too. I just used these elsewhere in my house for other projects. I like that the little wheels lock to keep it from sliding everywhere when I'm working. It's sturdy enough to hold my desktop computer and modem easily, and the main shelf holds my 2 ft monitor. The slide out keyboard holder is convenient too. I am tempted to ding it a little because one of the stabilizers cracked slightly in the corner, but I think that was because I forgot the instruction about orienting the screw holders the right way. I think if you follow all the directions you'll be fine, and it's still really sturdy regardless.

Nice computer stand
I am using this as a computer stand/desk. The shelf opens smoothly but the ball bearing glides are not full extension. The shelves provide a fair number of component arrangements, but the bottom shelf comes too far forward which limits leg room. The manufacturer provides a nice CD rack. It does seem a little inconsistent to buy a narrow desk and hang a CD rack off the side, but it can be left off with no visual penalties. The unit comes with 4 wheels. I chose not to install them since I will not be moving the cart around. The assembly instructions are fine and the parts are nicely labelled. The company furnishes a combination Allen wench/Phillips head screw driver, but the screw driver is pretty much useless. I assembled the cart without any help in about an hour. This review may sound a bit negative, but this is a nicely finished, sturdy cart and there is no reason to suspect that it will fall apart in the future. There were no defects in any of the parts and all of the holes lined up perfectly. I took one star off because the bottom shelf is too wide, but I would definitely buy it again.Caution – The company sells this cart and a similar one with a drawer. The Amazon descriptions are correct, but the pictures are can be confusing.

Highly recommended - very well made unit
This is an excellent unit, of much better quality than I expected for the money. Its parts seem substantial and well made, including the screws, with a very nicely done rounded edges on everything. All parts were clearly labelled. The instructions were easy to follow and came with a screwdriver and small wrench. There was even a bag of spare screws. It’s really a two-person job, with someone to hold things together while someone else puts the screws in. It didn’t take long to assemble, and we’re very pleased with it. The high shelf can be places anywhere, not just at the back as seen in the photo. I've used it for a couple of days and recommend it.

Nice and practical furniture
Practical and easy to install product. The only problem is the lack of extra space next to the keyboard to locate the mouse.

Compact, sturdy, functional, but...
This is just perfect for me as a compact workstation in my spare room. I used my own ratcheting screwdriver and wrench to tighten the assembly. The tools provided with the bolts worked okay, but mine worked better to tighten everything up. I love the upper shelf for my rather large computer monitor, and the pull-out keyboard drawer. The only downside I might see for someone else is the size of the pull-out keyboard shelf. I have a ultra-small keyboard, so it works fine for me. Someone else using a regular keyboard may not have room for a mouse. I would describe the colour as black. Other than adding to the sturdiness of the unit, the bottom shelf is serving only as a footrest for me. But overall, it's sturdy and perfect for my needs!
