Why are goldfish shown in some of the pictures when they cannot live in something like this?

Goldfish cannot and should not be in an aquarium smaller than ten gallons, and even that is pushing it. Anything smaller than that is cruelty. Goldfish get big no matter what size tank they're in. Please do not buy this expecting to put a goldfish in there.

Do these fish bowls require the same care as aquariums? Like the water changes and all that stuff. What do you have to do to take care of it

This bowl should only be used for plants. It is not outfitted properly for any fish, including bettas. Fish need a filter, heater, and gravel or rocks at the bottom, and plants or other places to hide. If you put your pet in a nice setup like that, it will be healthy and interesting to watch interact with its surroundings rather than just sit there and get sick from being in a bowl.

My main concern is whether heating is needes for the fish. Don't the beta need a heater in the bowl? Temp should be around 78 degrees?

Betta fish are tropical fish so the water temperature needs to be at least 78° achieved only with a fishtank heater in winter. Also very cruel to place a fish in such a small tank. Try to give them at least 3 - 10 gallon tank so they can swim adequately. I've got live aquatic plants in my tank for the fish to play and sleep in.

Can you please start marketing this as a beautiful propagation tool for plants instead of encouraging a common misconception about bettas?

I agree. It's inhumane to keep bettas in a space that small, and anyone who would put a goldfish in there is a sociopath.
