I recently tried Scratch and Peck Feeds Cluckin' Good Layer Grit for my backyard flock of chickens. This product offers a great solution for supplementing the dietary needs of my laying hens. I appreciate that Scratch and Peck Feeds uses all-natural and organic ingredients in their products. Knowing that my chickens are consuming a high-quality, non-GMO grit gives me peace of mind. I noticed that my chickens eagerly consumed the grit, which suggests that it is both palatable and beneficial to them. I appreciate the different size options available, which cater to various breeds and sizes of poultry. The texture of the grit is just right, allowing my chickens to easily pick and consume it. There are some larger sized pieces of granite in this bag which my chickens do not consume. If you bantom chickens I would check another source for smaller sizes.

Perfect size grit for my new little babies. They are drawn to it and definitely know when to eat it. I’ve had other grits that don’t work as well or the chicks don’t care for them. This is a great brand.

I needed a small-sized grit that didn't contain any extra ingredients like crushed oyster shells for my 8 week old chicks since they are not laying eggs yet and don't need the extra calcium for egg production. This fit the bill perfectly. It is small enough for them to peck at, but not too fine that it is powder, and not too large that it does no good for their digestion. Speaking of which, if your chicks have runny poops, then you need to put them on this grit. Guarantee to firm up their poop in no time. My local feed stores have been out of stock (back ordered) of this type poultry grit for almost 2 months now. I shopped around online for poultry grit from other manufacturers, and this was by far, the best deal around here on Amazon. I also highly recommend their brand of Scratch and Peck feed selections. I purchase 40lb sacks of them from Azure Standard which is much cheaper than the prices here on Amazon. I just wish Azure Standard would carry this brand of Grower Grit.

Was exactly what I have come to expect from this brand. Good value for delivering to doo and packaging made for no leakage. Great size for chicken grit and keeps the chickens healthy.

My chickens gobble up these rocks. These are noticeably bigger than the starter grit so pay attention to the age recommendation.
