Works as advertised but you need to be careful
I got a lot of enjoyment out of designing and printing a mounting for the kit, which I can raise and lower by fractions of a mm. When I first powered it up it was quite frightening, and I had to solidly clamp the unit down to the workbench. It is very noisy in operation but it cuts 3mm ply and grooves softwood to at least 14mm, albeit slowly. I want to try it on 2mm acrylic at some point. It does need a really solid base as I don't think the blade is perfectly balanced, but it does cut a nice groove.

Comes to a virtual stop even under light load
Fitted to drive 4 inch saw blade as recommended. Insufficient torque, won't even cut 2mm plywood on 24v setting. Would return but it transpire one has to pay postage back to China... not worth the money.
