Ease of use and cleaning
I bought this last November so I could apply a stain to the new fence on our property that was destroyed in a wind storm. But, the wind and rain kept us from doing so until these past two weeks. In total we have painted 620 linear feet of 6' high fence made up of drill pipe, 2x4s and 1x6" 6' tall. That's a lot of fence to be painting. We still have another 300 feet to go. Our neighbor finally decided to fix the adjoining fence so now we have more to do.This Graco Magnum made the job easy and quick compared to rolling. we put our little generator in the back of our work trailer and pulled it with the lawn tractor to the back fence. Worked beautifully. Priming was extremely easy. Painting was a delight, if it can be. Using the supplied tip of 512, it was a very nice wide pattern and covered a lot of fence. Took a bit to figure out how far back I needed to be to keep from causing runs, drips and errors. At first I was about to eclipse Pete Rose's record of runs, Hits, and errors. LOL. Then I learned that about 12"-15" works best in light winds of 5-8mph. Any higher its best to wait till there's low winds. But clean up, now that was easy. Prime it with some mineral sprits, Then with the small buck full of MS, start spraying into an empty bucket till the nozzle sprays clear. Disassemble the intake screen and wash off in the MS and blow it off. Then take the nozzle apart and clean it. With the nozzle and screen clean I just put them in the slots in the feet of the sprayer for safe keeping. So was it worth the investment? Well, ask me that question after I paint the fences again next year. Im sure Ill be smiling just as much. I won't be conning anyone to do the painting like Tom Sawyer did. But right now I'd say that this spray is worth every single penny. Painting isn't fun but it has been made 1000 times easier with this little gem.

price is reasonable, and the performance is top-notch
I recently purchased the Graco Magnum 257025 Project Painter Plus Paint Sprayer and 243041 Magnum 15-Inch Tip and I have been using it all summer to paint my new house, including my kitchen cabinets. I must say, I am very impressed with the performance of this paint sprayer. The setup was easy and straightforward, and I was able to get started on my painting projects right away. The paint sprayer is very versatile and can be used for a variety of projects, from painting walls and ceilings to furniture and decks. The 15-inch tip allowed me to cover a large area quickly and efficiently, and the adjustable pressure control allowed me to fine-tune the spray pattern to my liking. One of the best things about this paint sprayer is how much time and effort it saves compared to traditional painting methods. I was able to complete my entire house, including my kitchen cabinets, in a fraction of the time it would have taken me to do it by hand. The finish is also much smoother and more even, and the paint goes on more consistently.Painting my kitchen cabinets was a breeze with this paint sprayer. The finish was flawless and the entire process was much quicker than if I had done it by hand. I was able to get into all the nooks and crannies and achieve a smooth, even finish that I am very happy with.Overall, I am very happy with my purchase of the Graco Magnum 257025 Project Painter Plus Paint Sprayer and 243041 Magnum 15-Inch Tip. It is a great investment for anyone who wants to save time and effort on their painting projects. The price is reasonable, and the performance is top-notch. I would highly recommend this paint sprayer to anyone in the market for one.

Keep it clean and it will serve you well.
I didn't expect much from this unit. I'm not even close to a professional and only use it for home projects. At the low cost I paid, I figured I could use it once and then toss it and almost break even. I expected to use it once and then have it never work right again. I was wrong.I have had no problem getting this unit to prime nor have I had any problem painting or staining with it. It did finally clog once when I got to the very bottom of a can of thick latex, (the paint had been sitting around for a week after purchase so I should have remixed it a bit better), but that wasn't too much trouble to clear up. I didn't use a straining bag over the suction pick up and that was my reward, but it happened only the one time. While painting I occasionally reverse t the tip to keep it from clogging. (I just squirt the paint that comes out back into the bucket.) I don't wait for it to clog before reversing the tip.The suction hose is just long enough for a five gallon bucket of paint. I plunged that hose in both five gallon and one gallon buckets with no problem getting the last of the paint. If you do it right, clean up can take longer than the paint job and clean up is pretty messy, but being thorough means the unit will work next time you need it. You get to avoid getting so frustrated that you toss it and run out and buy a new one. Focus on that spray tip and be SURE it's clean. I use a wire brush to clean the smaller parts. Being able to attach a garden hose to the unit for clean up is definitely a plus. After cleaning it I leave the garden hose attached and run water through it for quite a while. (I used water based products.) I put it on 'prime' and let water run through it and then switch prime off and run water through the hose. I've got it all reassembled at this point so while running water through it I keep reversing the tip until I finally get a consistent fan of water coming out of it. If you think you're done cleaning it, clean it some more and you won't get frustrated next time you pull it out for a project. Don't think, "That's good enough." Think, "It looks clean, but I'm going to clean it some more."I've used it for three projects with little issue. (That one bottom of the can clog.) Next I'll be painting the house. It will be a while before I can start that project so I ran some pump armor through the unit to avoid potential issues next time I use it. It comes with a small bottle which is more than enough, but I did purchase extra. Also, I highly recommend purchasing an extension wand. It made each of my painting/staining projects much easier. A lot less bending and reaching. I guess you wouldn't need it if you were painting a chair though. It does only come with that 25 foot hose, but that was enough for me even though it is kind of stiff. When I needed to I just moved the paint sprayer and bucket of paint to a new location. A longer hose means more paint is left in the hose when you're done painting. Of course, you can always squirt that paint back into the paint bucket. I didn't feel the need for a longer hose. I did feel the need for that extension wand and that worked out to be very helpful. The hassle of cleaning it is outweighed but the ease of which you can paint. Take care of this thing and it you'll be happy with it.
