Awesome aroma & pure coffee experience
Awesome classic aroma & pure south indian coffee experience!! Just need to add an extra spoon or two of powder, since this does NOT have chicory, and I like strong coffee. I have tried 40+ coffees instant & ground. This seems like ROBUSTA beans, which I love more than the "premium" over-hyped ARABICA, now will (the elite) society accept me for saying this?On opening the seal you get the punch of strong aroma, initially and if you open after every few days. The key to retaining this aroma is using an air-tight container. But after consuming for few days, there is bound to be air locked inside the jar. The volatile aromatic compounds get oxidized with air exposure and hence you get the strong aroma only when you open after not opening for a few days (of aroma accumulation inside the jar). Truly air-tight models for coffee, suck out the inside air using special lid mechanism, but those are extremely expensive.Arabica will be good for black coffee with water, with it's fruity and mild non-bitter qualities. But when used in milk, the Arabica result feels "smooth soft creamy" and "feels and smells like milk" - which I do NOT like. Also brewing Arabica milk coffee with ground powder (not instant) is somewhat a pain, you can never get a high strength taste, need to add too much powder. This problem reduces reasonably with "very dark" roasted Arabica beans that state taste profiles like nutty, chocolatey, bitter etc. Do NOT use those "speciality" "premium" "delicate" "fruity" "floral" types of Arabica in milk!! Those are for black coffee in water. Many of us like "south indian filter coffee" actually due to a part of chicory in it. But that sometimes starts feeling boring or polluted or adulterated :) and you crave for "pure" coffee. This model comes handy for those purist craving seasons. You can also mix this into your chicory-coffee blends to strengthen the coffee part, add some variety. I personally do NOT like more than 15% or max 20% of chicory, any more chicory than that I lose the coffee taste/experience, and start feeling like I am drinking chicory root instead of coffee beans. This one is not expensive as well.

Good coffee
Great product, value for money, this is real coffee for real coffee enthusiasts, not for people drinking flavours in the name of coffee.

A nice medium roast blend
Well balanced taste, not too bitter. A nice medium roast. The flavor reminded me of a Third wave coffee Americano brew. It was worth the price. I found it best suited for a French press.

For those who like a dark roast!
Tasting notes - Woody, Nutty and slight CocoaGrind - Medium to Fine (filter coffee grind)Roast level - DarkNote these are purely from taste and my experience, not manufacturer provided. The grind size here is alright for pourovers and it feels somewhat finer than the other specialty brands.Good results with a V60 but you might prefer to dilute the coffee ratio as the roast is quite dark which adds those woody flavors. It has a slight instant coffee taste to it which makes me doubt if they included robusta or if it's just a factor of the roast level.Because of the nature of the roast these are suited for milk based drinks and especially for adding coffee flavor for the bakery recipes that require it.Consuming it as a pourover is fine however.
