For the Price this is an amazing TV
Sadly our Sony Bravia gave up and we bought this to replace it.Picture:Really good especially in 4k, HDI works well too. The only grumble I have is that on a dark picture you'll notice a slight lighting effect around the edge of the screen. However, you have to really look to notice it and, doesn't make any significant impact on picture quality.Sound:Can't give a fair review here due to using a sound bar.Menu:I personally found the Android menu system easier to operate. However once you get used to this one, it's fairly easy to navigate:Internet:You have the option of connect an ethernet cable or use inbuilt WIFI. I've been using WIFI and have been pleasantly surprised to find it actually works well. Out TV is connected via a WIFI repeater in the next room and the TV can easily stream 4k Movies from Prime without interruption or loss of quality. This suggests to me that as long as your WIFI equipment is up to scratch and not excessively far away, you should not have any streaming issues even with 4k. I also have a media centre for streaming purposes and again I have no problems interacting with it through WIFI.Bluetooth:I've connected my headphones to the TV via Bluetooth as I can be a late Owl watching a movie or binging on a series. I've had no problems with quality at all. However it has one REALLY irritating feature. Turning off Bluetooth headphones will always cause the TV to revert the sound back to internal speakers only, this is really annoying when you have a sound bar as you have to go into the settings each time to get sound through the sound bar again. LG should have made the TV remember the previous sound settings to fall back on by default when Bluetooth headphones are deactivated. Are you listening LG!!!Apps:I haven't really made great use of the apps but there seems to be plenty to choose from, note there are not many apps installed to begin with, so it's worthwhile connecting the TV to the internet at least temporarily to allow more apps to be installed and bring it up to date.Remote:Took me a little time getting used to the remote, it has a gyroscope system which helps for typing purposes. When activated, tilting the remote moves a pointer around the screen, this is SO much quicker and easier than using direction buttons. However it can be annoying if you fidget with the remote as movement can and often does activate the menu and pointer system mid movie. It's best to put the remote down during viewing.Pros:* Quality vs Cost* Good WIFI* Nice Remote with direct access buttons to Prime, Netflix, Rutowhatever* Gyroscope feature in the remote for navigationCons:* Slight lighting anomaly on dark pictures but barely noticeable* Bluetooth deactivation sets sound back to internal speakers, not the previous sound settings* Pointer and menu activation through remote movement, just put the remote DOWN!!!

Lg Superb quality 4k UHD picture. Packed with features. Smart remote inc .
Absolutely love this TV. The UHD 4K picture quality is Superb. The smart remote comes inc at no extra cost. The tv is feature packed with so many good choices of add on apps etc. Alexa works just fine.. Its upgrading all the time with new software. I have just added Apple TV as I bought the new iPad and get 3 months free Apple TV as a bonus. My main go to viewing however is YouTube and prime tv channels. Which has huge amount of quality programmes to keep you entertained.I have kept and used this tv for a decent amount of time so as to give an honest opinion and user review.. I would recommend without hesitation. I was going to spend about £1300 originally. I’m so happy I never. I’ve got everything I’ve needed from this set and then some for good measure. I know on my next purchase of a new set I will look at all the options before jumping the gun. I also own A new Samsung smart tv as well. I can say with confidence my next new tv will be 1 or the other. Very pleased with my purchase another easy 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Review from me. 😁

GREAT SMART TV BUT .... NEEDS REPROGRAMMING TWICE PER WEEK.
I purchased this LG Smart Television at the beginning of March 2020 and initially I was "over the moon" with the Picture, Sound and Remote-Control quality. Early on I was a bit concerned that when I turned it on in the morning it would have often shown the notice "not Programmed" and so I would have had to go into the Settings and reprogrammed the channels. (I should add that if I was not at home my wife could not do this!!). Recently I noticed that a few of the previous reviewers mentioned this issue. Since 3rd August I have made a note of the days when this happened and so far it has occurred 14 times - As I have been on holiday for 2 of those weeks, I estimate that this averages out at TWICE PER WEEK. I am now at my "wits end" and would appreciate any help that Amazon or the supplier can provide. Yours truthfully T R MillarWe are a retired couple and so there are no Children in our home to interfere with the settings!!PS: Amazon gave me an LG Help Desk number and the LG Customer Service Rep provided me with the solution in 2 Minutes. "Go into the Programming Update screen and Uncheck the "Programme List Update" Box. If this facility is enabled it frequently tries to re-programme itself at night and frequently fails to complete the process. Since I have disabled this facility 3 weeks ago the problem has not reoccurred. Full Marks to LG. Now 5 Star

Very pleased with it, a decent TV at a sensible price
Is early days but so far suitably impressed.I'd made do with a 13 year old 40" 1080p Samsung LCD TV for a long time, had wanted a new TV and decided like most people I wanted a decent 50 to 55" 4K TV but didn't want to spend silly money on one (I set a budget of £500 max). After alot of indecision of whether to go for this or the Samsung RU7400 I bit the bullet and went for this and so far very happy that I did.I'm no AV expert but to me the screen looks great, I know there is alot of shade thrown towards IPS panels but I dont personally see what all the fuss is about. Looks perfectly good and bonus is the viewing angles are great.WebOS is excellent, the magic remote isn't just a gimmick and impressed with all the ThinQ AI and Google Assistant support not that I really use it.The thing is a tiny bit on the chunky side (as most backlit LEDs are) but is a very good looking set and looks far more expensive than its sub £500 price. Sound is OK but I use a Samsung soundbar with it (which works perfectly over HDMI ARC) so not something that bothers me greatly anyway.Time will tell but my suspicion is that at this end of the market LG offers better value for money than Samsung....Samsung really trading in on their stronger brand image but I really dont think they necessarily make a better TV anymore. One disappointment is that within days of buying it, Amazon dropped £20 off the price with it yet to be delivered....would have been nice if they'd invoice for the new price but hey ho that's business!
