True to size, much better built than Converse.
I bought these shoes a couple months ago, and love them. Much better than Converse. The soles are actually sewn on, and not just glued. Much more comfortable, and better support than Converse. Great for everything.

Combat Chuck's, what's not to love?
I've only had these for a day, and they're already my favorite shoes. I'm a lifelong fan of Converse Chuck Taylor's All Stars, so I jumped at the chance to pick up a pair of combat-ready Chuck's. I normally wear 10.5, but per other reviews got 11s, and they fit perfect. Threw some thin insoles inside for wear with socks, and they're good to go. The stock insoles are a maritime type meant to he worn without socks, so keep that in mind. Build quality is excellent, material and stitching looks good, and there's just the right amount of padding where it's needed. Everyone knows 500d Cordura is tough stuff, so I don't see it tearing anytime soon. Decent arch support, too... which was a pleasant surprise considering Chuck's have none. The outsole has chunky lugs that provide plenty of grip on most terrain. The black rubber seems a bit glossy, but I'm sure that will subside with wear. I haven't had a chance to wear them in water yet, but the design seems to be perfect for this application... with drainage positioned at the balls of your feet, simply walking will allow water to be squeezed out. The drainage position also keeps the outsole from splitting at the balls of your feet, a common issue on standard Chuck's. Overall, I can't find anything to complain about, except now I want another pair in Multicam!

Fits true to Chucks
I needed some new general purpose shoes to replace my chucks. I wear 11’s so I ordered 11’s. These fit the exact same, the only draw back is the maritime insoles, which lets be honest are perfect for what these are designed for. I have taken them hiking, to the beach, poolside, perfect for that potential water environment. They do have a break in period of about a week to get the soles to loosen up a little, so keep that in mind. I still need to grab some new non-maritime insoles for wearing around the office but these are exactly what you would expect them to be. “combat chucks” with some serious improvements. I’m so happy with these and the styling I now own both the lows and mids in MC Black.

Tacticool accessory only - does not hold up to dynamic environments
Everything about the fit of the shoe and the flat plane of the arch was as i’d hoped - great stability and traction. The sole construction however is something that should never have been advertised as even close to military/leo suitable. I wore these as gym shoes and the stitching in the toe started to go within a week, allowing the threads to flap around in the shoe as i walked/ran/rucked etc... by the time i had broken the shoes in so they could be worn for some actual training, the toe needed to be glued to keep the stitches from full-on falling out. These are only a few months old, and already the midsole is starting to go. Get converse or something if you like the shoe style, but avoid these - they will fail you and start falling apart the day you no longer need moleskin for them. Update: 01/31/2020 - after silicone glueing the canvas and rubber together where the stitching failed, these boots lasted a long while. I would have recommended them or bought them again myself if they were ever to fix that problem - it is a glaring issue, but i liked them otherwise. Essentially the 1911 of footwear: i like them a lot, but the reliability issue is not overlookable. Second update 6/21/20: at the insistence of a friend, i gave these shoes a second chance and bought another pair - the second pair stood up to significant abuse and daily wear, and did not fall apart like the first pair did. After doing some digging and inspecting the first pair side by side with the second, it’s pretty apparent that there must have been a significant problem with the stitching on the first pair and perhaps there was a machine malfunction when they were being constructed, as the second pair did not have the rats nest of loose strings under the insole that the first pair did. I would recommend these for anyone who is active and demands a lot from their footwear - just be sure to pull out the insole and check that the stitching is squared away, and you should be good to go.

Love my Altamas!
These are great boots! Love the quality and durability. They don't have support, just like Chucks, but I find them much better in regards that the sole is not as thin and don't feel every pebble on the street. These are durable and look great! I've got the multicam black and multicam and fit every type of wardrobe I have.

BUYER BEWARE!!! READ REVIEW
Got these originally for lifting in the gym and hiking, but the moment I put them on I couldn’t take them off. Super comfortable with a minimal arch drop and ample ankle support, I want to wear these bad boys al the time! Multicam Black gets all the compliments, and the the sole is super grippy/handles wet surfaces incredibly well. If you plan on tac inserting over to your neighbor’s pool party or hiking Glacier, this is the pair for you!

Not your father shoes.
Like the idea of the shoe as I need it on land and in water conditions. The issue I have is the left shoe has begun to fall apart after my second day of wear. Shoes fit great, just sad they aren’t as durable as I remember.

Great shoe, bad service
Shoe is 5/5. Really comfortable and true to size. Feel durable and would have loved to try them. Unfortunately, the shoe inside the box was the wrong color and style. And they show obvious use. Wanted these for a tripe to Mexico for water activities. But I’ll have to return them. Tried calling but get no answer from support.

Good fit and comfy. I just wear for short distances though as not used to walking in converse style shoes. Although these have more support than converse. They have some arch support but I put an insoles in too. Very nice.
