Very nice reel for the price

Best bang for your buck for a decent catfishing reel. But I purchased at $43 a piece and not even a week later they are now $53💩 for 3 dollars more I would recommend the piscifun chaos reel iver these. If they drop back to the $40's it's a deal.

I have had this reel for a couple of years now and it has done the job. Spooled with 40 lb mono on a Berkeley Big Game rod. Have caught a lot of large cats and striper and the reel has no trouble handling big fish. Even had one that broke the 40 lb line but the reel did great. The only down side is it is a little rough casting,but it is a trolling reel and I really don't try to make long cats from my boat. TBH I am getting ready to add two more reels and have been considering the Piscifun Chaos reels but I just keep thinking about how reliable this reel has been and haven't quite decided to get a different reel just because all the cool kids are doing it. I also like the lever spool release better than the push button release,so there is that.

Bought two of these and they work great. The drag is extremely strong and they hold a substantial amount of line for. For the price I’d say these are some of the best levelwind you can buy for any type of fishing.

They cast great and handle big fish just as good as an Abu, I run guides on the Yadkin river and use these reel’s several times a week all year long. I’ve had them for 3+ years and absolutely no issues! So if you’re considering purchasing these it’s a no brainer for me and fit the budget well!

I paired the CLX200 with a 4' 6" Medium Heavy, Medium Fast action (20-40lb rated) rod using 30 lbs braid for ~ 200 ft of bottom fishing. I selected the reel base on the weight of the reel (12oz) and whole reel and rod length seems to work quite well for our 5 yr son. The drag even at 12lbs which seems a bit on the light side to me was sufficient to pull in a lot of keeper seabass (2 keepers at a time) using a 2 hook squid bait jig setup. I don't know what drag setting he used; I think he just max it out; and not worry about proper fishing techniques. The gear ratio was good enough for our son to reel in the catch at 100ft on his own without getting tired and needing help.

Great reel have had many of these and still do never had a issue with them

I Needed two reels for 100 yd. of 18 lbs. lead core line for trolling. My thirty year old Penn had seen their day. So far I have used them for Rainbows three or for times. Water has cooled down so I have only been using three or four colors. The only item I would say is the spool tension adjustment is a little heavy for 18# line using small lures. I use 5.5 trolling blades with small lures. I have to pull the line off to spool at times when trolling slow. But for my use I do not need a hundred dollar plus reel. So far it has worked great.
