Do not buy this remote!!!!
Do not buy this remote!!!! If you do not buy it from an authorized dealer it is completely useless without the programming software that is only windows based. No one tells you this until after you buy the product and read the manual and it says: "contact your dealer to have them program it" This is deceptive business practices at best!!!

MX-880
I am a fan of Universal Remotes from URC. The MX-880 has great features. Our remote freezes everytime we press the down button for the volume. We are a little disapointed after spending all of this money. I guess 2 out of 3 remotes isn't too bad for this company.

NOT USER FRIENDLY AND SOMETIMES DOES NOT WORK UNTIL YOU PUSH THE BUTTONS TEN TIMES. AVOID!!!
I am tempted to give it a one star however it does work but I am very disappointed with this remote. It is VERY hard to use. I joke, but you need a degree in electrical engineering to use it.1) This is NOT an intuitive remote. If you want to turn the TV on you would think you would press TV right? Well, that is after hitting the green button and then getting the receiver on and then hitting the Watch button and scrolling on a page to turn the speakers on. Sometimes the buttons don't respond and you have to keep hitting the keys. It is a complete nightmare! This is my second one as the first lasted 6 months and the installed replaced FOC. This one is going on 4 years which is good but it has a loose screw in it and is rattling away!I AM THE ONLY PERSON IN OUR HOUSEHOLD WHO CAN USE THIS REMOTE!! The reason being is that NO ONE can figure out how to get anything to work. I have a TV a Denon receiver, A Blue Ray, an Apple TV and another outside TV plus three sets of speakers. If I don't use it for a month I have forgotten how to use it and keep hitting buttons until I remember. It is not an easy solution for your home theatre system. We had a party one time and I could not get the music to work so we just got an itouch with some blue tooth speakers and we were able to play what we wanted and control what we wanted. I paid $7,500 for my complete system and it is not a good product at the end. I would go in a different direction at this point. I just want something easy and simple to use. ie. On off, Volume, Channel, TV Blue ray, Apple TV and room selection. Perhaps I should start my own company and produce a simple system. I guess that is why Apple is so successful "MAKE IT USER FRIENDLY!!! THIS SCORES A ONE START FOR USER FRIENDLYNESS!!

Don't Buy and be Held Hostage!!!
I own, but would never, EVER buy one again. I really like the unit itself, but if you need to "tweak" something, just ONE thing, then you have to call out your "professional installer" (get the sarcasm) again and pay the $100 trip charge plus whatever hourly charge he/she wants to charge. And this is the deal! For the entire time you own the URC. It's unbelievable to me that six years or whatever after originally purchasing and having my "professional installer" set everything up, I'm still have to pay him to come over and reprogram a couple buttons. Once you buy, you are FOREVER held hostage to your "professional installer" and URC's arrogant refusal to release the editor software to MX owners. (Why would I want the software if I didn't own the device? I guess one might argue I want to enter the "professional installer" business and start reprogramming all those MXs that have been sold... Really? I can think of no other logic. )

I let my installer sell me this remote. Now ...
I let my installer sell me this remote. Now anytime I want to add a component or feature, I have to pay $160 for them to program. It does not give you all the features of your component remotes unless they program then in. When set on one component you can't adjust another without affecting the ability to adjust another. Now I am having issues which I can't fix because it does not come with the programming software. I may as well throw it out. Only buy a remote you can program.
