A good choice of water filter system
Nice finishing of the steel housing, faucet valve and plastic tubing. The water filtered is tasty, and much better than the bottled water. One drawback is the design of the acrylic base stand. The whole piece of filter apparatus would look even more elegant and professional if the acrylic stand is replaced with, for example, a stainless steel base.

as advertised, small and fits sink without having to make adjustments. Water not as clean as advertised when measured, has bad taste also.

looks horrific on the counter.
First off the picture you see here is NOT what you will be getting. At least not at the time I'm writing this. They seemed to have decided not to update the photo to what their newer model looks like and they've done that for a reason. There is no way anyone would by this based on it's looks. The bottom of the filter is not flat like in the picture- It's round so that it absolutely cannot stand on its own. If you try it will roll off the counter. To fix this the company sends you a plastic base that you're supposed to put this filter on so that it doesn't roll over. This plastic casing is black and ugly and as if that wasn't enough it actually adds a whole 3 inches of height to the filter. The result is that this filter is now extra huge and literally only 3.5 inches away from hitting the bottom of my upper cabinets. When people come over and come into the kitchen they always ask what the huge monstrosity is beside my sink that towers over the toaster oven I have near by. Having said that- It does filter water well. the flow rate is fantastic! The water tastes great. I love it for that reason.Update: It seems the company has updated the photo as it now shows the metal filter with the black plastic cylandar below.

Works great!
I had a multipure water filter for 20+ years and was just worn out. Thought i splurge and get a new one. I'm very happy. Easy to install, just needed a little teflon tape and it screwed together. Added bonus the one I ordered dispenses filter water from the faucet piece. I'm very pleased.

VERY PLEASED!
Straightforward set-up and installation... flow rate is impressive... HEAVY material, well-made. Nice diverter valve. Hoses are flexible and NOT at all in the way. I even like the way it looks: like a gleaming little nuclear device on the countertop! Finally, the NSF certification is a great comfort... which is, after all, the only reason to want a filter in the first place.

Feel much better about chemicals being sifted out of my water.
Water tastes great, and it's not nearly as hulking as some of the other reviewers stated. It's similar in size to a gallon of milk.

It seems like my symptoms have improved
I have had some GI problems since moving to a new state which I possibly attribute to water. It seems like my symptoms have improved. The device was easy to hookup and works well. (I have the countertop version.)

Excellent
This is an absolutely excellent water filter.First, the model I own is basically identical to the one pictured, except for it's output fitting, which on mine cannot be converted to under sink use. Also I did not buy it through amazon. I actually bought it before there even was an Amazon.com. I purchased it through Multi-pure's reseller program in 1996. Yes, that is right, I have owned my 750 for 16 years! Today It looks just as it looked when I purchased it, and most importantly, it's output is still excellent, which is the main point. Another poster complained that it doesn't look like the image, and my thoughts are that they got the wrong filter as the MP 750 line is flat bottomed and sits directly on the counter, or this one, which can be converted to be installed under the counter. (my mom has had this exact model for about 8 years) I have always had mine on the counter. The company recommends to replace the filter when the flow slows, or at least once a year. I have actually gone up to two years between replacement filters and have not noticed any issues whatsoever. The thing is is that the filter cartridges are not cheap, currently around $60 a pop. But for 2 years of excellent tasting water for drinking and cooking and giving water to my dog, it feels like a bargain. Also if you are a coffee aficionado, this water is really really good. No bad tastes imparted to your brew.I realize I am being over the top here, but in this day and age to have one product that I use every single day for 16 years feels like a complete anomaly and I can't help raving about it. No, I do not sell them, but I probably should as my mom has bought one as well as several friends over the years. Finally, there is zero comparison to the crap plastic ones that attach directly to your faucet, or the brita jugs. The output volume is much higher and the water tastes far better and you can expect to keep this one for a very long time, thereby reducing its cost significantly when spread out over time.Highly recommended.
