Axolotl product
My Axolotl seems to enjoy these leaves. She lays on them. I dropped a few in the tank and after a few days they sank to the bottom. The water quality is still within parameters and I haven't needed to change a thing. I bought these on a chance after looking for Axolotl products. I didn't know anything about these before seeing these on Amazon. I thought after reading about the product I would try it. I am pleasantly surprised and will continue to order these for my Axolotl.

EXCELLENT PRODUCT, BUT I DISAGREE WITH THE INSTRUCTIONS PROVIDED
Leaves were delivered intact in good condition and were about 7 to 7.5 inches long. The instructions recommend three leaves per 12 gallons (5 leaves if you boil them first) to be replaced weekly. I found that one leaf in a ten-gallon tank is more than enough to give the water the classic tea color, and I would be concerned that more than that could screw up the chemistry of the tank. I also believe that replacing the leaves weekly before they can form a nice layer of biofilm on them is counter-productive.I rinse the leaf without boiling and let it float on the surface of the tank. That will be enough to release the tannins and to color the water. It will sink in a day or so, and then nothing visible further happens for a couple of weeks other than providing a hiding place for small critters like cherry shrimp. Once the leaf starts to break down, snails, shrimp, baby shrimp, and some fish then start eagerly feasting on the biofilm and infusoria produced on it. After a leaf is well on its way to skeletonization, I add another to the tank so that there is always at least one coated with biofilm at any given time.Do the leaves act as an anti-bacterial and anti-fungal agent as often claimed? I don't know, but have no evidence that they don't. I do know that they provide a natural-looking hiding area for livestock in the tank and that a bunch of guys like to chomp on them once they have been in there awhile. The tank also looks more natural with the tinted water.

Big leaves
I received the, 10 leaves as described. I'm only using them as some added nutrition for shrimp I'm my tanks. Cherry shrimp are apparently eating them, ghost shrimp are not. They do leach tannins even with only 1 leaf in each tank. If you don't like your water to look like tea a water change after 2 or 3 days should do the trick.

She likes it
Got these for my axolotol, she seems to like them. I rinsed a few off and put them in her tank. After couple of days it gave the water a really nice natural color and then they sank in. Axolotol likes to rub herself on them or just lay on them. Nice pleasant smell and been holding up just fine.

They’re huge!
I can’t recommend this product because I’m returning it because the description and picture says it’s for axolotl‘s but the package says it’s for turtles, so I don’t know if it’s safe to use on my axolotl.

These cheered up my grumpy axoltyl
I started with 2 leaves in my 20 gallon tank. Within a few days, my axolotyl was a lot more active. He normally just hangs out behind plants. I have to drop food on his head, but he rarely flinches. He’s been like that for over a year. The water chemistry is good, but he barely moves at all. Now, he comes out occasionally and looks around. Not much, but a big improvement. I added two more leaves after yesterday’s partial water change and cleaning.
