I have a samsung 970 Evo 500GB NVME M.2 SSD and it had temperatures of around 70 degrees during idle loads. I was afraid I would fry my SSD after the warranty period ended leaving me stranded without a boot drive.So I decided to get this heat spreader. It might seem expensive (which it is indeed) but considering the peace of mind that it providesPerformance: Merely putting this on the SSD has reduced max temps to 50 degrees. That is a HUGE temp drop. I didn't expect that. Allowing air over it with fans reduces the temps even further to around 40-45 degrees. Now I have peace of mind. Considering Indian weather, I don't trust our electronics to last very long at sustained 70Degree temperatures.

Not a fit for my predator helios 300 i5 2018 model. There's hardly 0.5mm gap between ssd and back chasis. So couldn't install it. But the product feels good. Solid aluminum comes with 0.5mm thermal pad. Value for money

This product does its job. My SSDs temp went down from 45C to 35C. The instructions are precise and all the parts were there. Good stuff. The delivery though, takes a loooooong time. And the delivery guy never arrived at my place and the package was returned. Had to talk to them to get it back.

This is a simple extruded aluminium plate that is cut to fit on a NVME M.2 SSD.Package contains the heat sink, 2 rubber bands, 2 metal pins, a tiny wet tissue (with probably isopropyl alcohol) and a tiny dry tissue.Note: This product is around 3mm tall + add another 2mm for the metal clip. Buy this only if your laptop has at least 5 ~ 6 mm clearance above the M.2 SSD.Since I read somewhere that the rubber bands deteriorate quite fast because of the heat, I used the metal clips.Metal clip may touch the circuit board under the SSD, so apply a layer of cello tape or insulation tape on the metal clips.Net result : SSD was running at 55 ~ 60 degree for normal loads. Post application of this heat sink, the SSD is running at 45 ~ 50 degrees for same load. So, 5 - 10 degree C drop in temperature.Happy with the product.

i expertise this product more then. but not i am received this product. today 3 pm. pic showing both sides both side tape. but only one side tape given.top side metal part.i think rubber bush. picture showing.but not given. so i will give 3 stars only

Works great for lenovo legion y520, it fits perfectly. This work for laptops you just have to measure space in your laptop. Previously my ssd controller temp in 81 while gaming now avg 51 to 60. Worked like cham as if now.

Overall great. Item arrived early. But the silicon pads arrived a bit broken (because it is very soft and fragile i think) packaging could have been better to avoid this issue, but the silicon pads i just squeezed them again at the cracked area to join them and seems to be fine. Also it is NOT for thin laptops. I installed this to my OMEN 15 i9 9880h laptop to a samsung 970 pro 1tb and with the mounting brackets or bands attached I could not put it back because it was rather thick. So i just attached it without any of the mounting brackets or bands. I really want to give 5 stars but the silicon pads arrived a bit broken so, i can't give 5 stars.
