Older or injured cats will love this! The lightweight/smaller particles are easier for sore/older joints and limbs to move. My 15 year old grumpy girl decided she was going to make me pay attention by going next to the litter box, then come and tell me all about it. After trying a new larger litter box and several other litters, she is finally back to going in the litter box. Not until I tried this litter. Yes, I used the previous one just to see and she went right back to going next to the litterbox!! This litter doesn't break up when scooping and clumps/absorbs normally. More affodable than some of the new fomulations, due to the huge clumps. The odor control is good, comparable with the multiple cat extreme odor control variety. Unfortunately, it does track more than the typical litter due to the lightweight nature. Oddly enough there are random stones mixed in.

Really happy with this litter! It clumps super well, so scooping is quick and not a mess. The Febreze scent actually keeps the box smelling fresh without being too strong, which I love. The best part is how light it is. Carrying and pouring it is way easier than those super heavy boxes, and since it comes in two smaller bags, it’s much easier to handle. There’s also way less dust, which is nicer for both me and my cats. Overall, it does the job really well and makes life a little easier. I’ll be sticking with this one!

For the last couple of months I have tried several different litter products. My issue with the litter that I have used long term was it tracked all over the house. There was litter everywhere. When I tried Fresh Step light weight I was amazed. It is not your usual clay litter. It is easy to scoop, and easy for me to carry because it is light weight. It tracks very little. I have hard wood floors and you can see everything on them. This works great. It also keeps the litter box cleaner and the smell stays pretty contained in the bathroom where the boxes are. I have three cats and two boxes. I had no problem switching the boys to this new litter.

I have 2 Maine Coons and they need a very large box, so the box is heavy with this litter in it. This litter is INCREDIBLY heavy, but it clumps like a brick. When I say heavy, I mean I have to engage my ab muscles to scoop this stuff. : ) I'm talking when scooping, not carrying the box. LOL One of my cats would shred the light weight litter till it was clumps the size of peas, making it hard to scoop; he can't do that with this litter. There has been practically no litter tracking and no wet foot marks on my floor. I put just a bit, maybe 10% light weight into this heavy litter to loosen it up a bit, I wouldn't do more than that or it will defeat the purpose of the heavy litter. There's just a small amount of dust. It claims no fragrance, but I can detect just the bare hint of something. The benefits of no tracking or foot prints makes it worth the weight of the litter for me.

I used many different types of litter for my cat and this is the best option I found. It's easy to clean it because it clumps quickly and the smell lasts a long time. You won't have problems in a long time because of the smell of cat waste. The shipping arrived quickly and the price seemed good to me for the quality

It works great — definitely the best litter brand I’ve used so far. My only wish is that it didn’t create so much dust, because sometimes I can even smell it in the air.

This litter was AMAZING until the recent rebrand. I noticed the difference the first month they changed the box from "Extreme" to "Extra Strength Formula". The packaging may say the same formula, but it is NOT. The litter itself is a much smaller particle and tracks a lot more than the "Extreme" formula. Also, the odor control is half as good. The "Extreme" version would keep my litter box 100% odor-free for 7 days. My cat box is in my office closet so odor control is a big deal to me, this litter was so good a cat would go and I didn't even know it because of zero odor. Since we started getting the new box our odor control is 3-5 days max. There is significantly more dust when I clean or refill the litter box. I'm just very disappointed Fresh Step is trying to pawn this new box as the same formula. Anyone who regularly used the "Extreme" formula would notice immediately the increased odor, dust, tracking, and particle size. Do better Fresh Step. Guess we will be back on the market looking for a better litter. I'm giving it 3 stars because at this time it still performs better than Tidy Cats Lightweight Litter.

The sand smells amazing, it has this nice scent that helps reducing the oddor when the litter has been used. I suggest you to mix this sand with the Deodorizing Crystals this brand also has, it helps so much to control the oddor, at least it does in my small appartment. If you keep your litter box clean everyday, you wont suffer for bad smells in closed rooms.

J’ai acheté cette litière pour mes 2 bébés 😻 et j’en suis super satisfaite. Elle sent toujours bonne, elle agglomère super bien, elle est facile d’entretien car les pipis et 💩 se ramassent en un seul coup. Je la recommande pour vos chats

Absorbency is not perfect. If you are using an extra large cat litter box 1 box won't be enough as it takes that much to fill it the first time.

It has a laundry detergent smell to it and for those who are sensitive to any kind of smells, nay not work.
