Hyperfocus
Good book, but the book didn't look new due to the way the corners and pages looked.

A must read! highly Recommended!
This is, without a doubt, one of the best books I’ve ever read on focus. Chris Bailey is tremendously well-informed, he’s got a great sense of humor, and he knows how to delineate facts in such a way that is both entertaining and insightful. It was a lot of fun to read this book, and I could hardly put it down each time I read it. I highlighted so many things that it would be quicker to tell you what I didn’t highlight! I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in increasing their productivity and focus.

This book is great for anyone looking for the way to improve their attention
The book walks you through many tactics varying from set your environment, arranging the workday following your energy level, devide your works between logic works and creative works for easy focusing,… Also the author brings us the two new types of attentions: hyperfocus and scatterfocus, that you must know to accommodate into your daily works and lives.

The only productivity book that I actually finished
This book is simply amazing. The tactics provided by the author do really work. I am a self taught software developer who spent 7 years of his life learning how to code and think like a programmer. While I was able to finish a lot of courses during my never ending journey to become a developer, this book helped me go through other more advanced courses that I was terrified to even start. Not only that, I am really progressing very quickly through these courses and I definitely have more spare time now to do the other things that I love.Thank you Chris, I actually bought the paper version as a gift for a friend of mine :)

Helps to concentrate more deeply
I struggle to multitask and have lot of distractions to my attention. Hence i am not so much productive, This Hyperfocus book helped me to concentrate more deeply, think more clearly. I realize likes the below topics mentioned in the book • identifying and dealing with the four key types of distraction and interruption; • establishing a clear physical and mental environment in which to work; • controlling motivation and working fewer hours to become more productive; • taking time-outs with intention; • multitasking strategically; and • learning when to pay attention and when to let your mind wander wherever it wants to.Overall recommend

Fascinating read
The implications of hyperfocus in an “ADD society” [mine] are staggering. Well researched and provocative, Hyperfocus should be a required read for every aspiring creative and business leader.

If you are struggling with work/life balance this is a great book for you
This is a book of two halves. The first half which concentrates on Hyperfocus is excellent. It is packed full of good thinking and practical tools that are very useful. In fact as a coach I have recommended this book to several of my clients. The second half of the book is about scatterfocus which is about developing innovative thinking. I didn't find this particularly engaging and there are much better authors on this topic. Nonetheless, the first part is so good, I would still recommend buying even if you did as I did - give up half-way through.

This book is genius and will improve the quality and speed up your work.
This is the book you didn't know you needed! This book really has changed my life. I was recommended it by a YouTuber and it did not disappoint. Chris has really nailed the concept of "hyper focus", which is really important in this modern age where we have become so unfocused by our mobile phones, work environments and just waist valuable time. It will teach you brilliant tactics for focusing on your tasks better and along the way is packed with many gems to help create a better focused life; implementing tactics such as meditation, mindfulness and how you use your technology. This book can be helpful for anyone, wether you work in an office and feel overwhelmed by emails, or work at home and feel your mind wanders. This book will help you.

A really helpful book
I got this book after all the good reviews in a bid to try and be more organised day-to-day and it's definitely worth the read. It goes into all the temptations that cause our mind to drift and whilst we probably all know what these are it's a good reminder. I like the tips on minimising distractions and I've been putting my phone on focus mode and putting it in the drawer, which definitely helps. I've even started meditating, which has also been a good help. The scatterfocus section is super helpful as well! My only criticism is that the flow seems slightly all over the place at times but overall it's worth a read
