Vachon Vanilla 1/2 Lune Moon Cakes, 1 Box 8.8 ounces Made in Montreal Quebec Canada

I read reviews that said this was the Canadian twinkie. I wanted to try it as it was mentioned in one of the Louise Penny Gamache novels It is much better than a twinkie. The cake part tastes more like cake than sponge and the cream tastes more like a good icing. So very much the flavor of a vanilla cupcake with buttercream frosting. Just wish it cost a bit less.

If you like Twinkie's you will love these. They have a nice cake to filling ratio. But they are a very very sweet snack cake. I was curious so I bought them. It is much more affordable to buy the local (US) offerings!

Arrived in great condition. Was worried after I heard others reviews regarding being squashed. Mine were great, not available in the USA in stores. Tastes as how I remembered when I lived in Canada.
