Something my child wanted for Christmas. I didn't think he would play with it much, but he finds it very fascinating and plays with it often. To be honest, it does look like the symbiote from the marvel comics venom which is kind of cool. It was delivered in great shape and on time.

My son begged me for ferrofluid for Christmas. And was beyond happy when he discovered this is what I got him. He has enjoyed hours of fun with this stuff, making slow motion videos, and calling it his own piece of Venom ( from spider man). Though, as many reviews have already warned, I will say those magnets to click together real easy. And this causes them to chip real easy. So be careful.

It's a neat little desk decoration & is fun to mess around with every once in a while. They give you four magnets, two in the handles and two extras, and its a good thing they did that because if you mess with the magnets too much they begin to break easily. Generally it works fine and is fun to watch and play with when you're bored :)

This is a simple but really clean and tidy way to see how ferro fluid reveals a magnetic field. It's much more sensitive than plain old iron filings. Being contained in a bottle, it's much tidier than raw ferro fluid, which is super messy if you're not super careful. One warning they don't give you is that the bottle cap just screws on (or off) and, if this is given to children, they might unscrew the cap which would release the fluids all over the floor and make one heck of a mess. They don't give any information about what hazard this might be. If nothing else, the ferro fluid will never come out of the carpet.My bottle arrived with an air bubble, and the vendor responded nearly immediately with an offer to send a replacement. I'm very happy with this interesting scientific novelty and the vendor that sells it.

I had heard about this before but never seen it with my own eyes. I am so glad that I can now! My daughter to it the instant she saw it, in fact she wouldn't let me out it away! Very cool product which would make a great gift or even a great stocking stuffer!

The magnets that came are dangerous as they chip and become sharp around the edges because the pull is extremely strong. The jar of fluid is a joke as there was barely any black fluid in the bottle. For the price I expected more and better packagingas well.I would not recommend anyone purchase this.
