Helps eliminate squeaking
A great find for beginning players. My middle-school daughter tried it at home first, loved it, and took one to school to ask her band teacher if she could use it in her school instrument - and he's happy with it too. We all seem to find that she achieves a much more uniform tone with this, and in a high humidity region, that's a definite plus! As an added bonus, it seems to have a longer overall lifespan too than an untreated reed. The only complaint was that "they taste funny" on the first use.

Good
Unlike the normal wooden tongue, the soft sound does not leave splinters like the normal wooden ones, I tried them once and did not exchange them for anything.

Rico makes good stuff
I love these reeds. I carry around mouthpieces to check student instruments when they say they're having a problem playing. The plastic coated read makes it possible for me to pretty much put on the mouthpiece and play almost immediately. The quality is good. The price is a little high.

Great value
I like how each reed in the box is a consistent quality unlike traditional reeds. They make it easy to get a good quality sound with minimal effort, however, they must be precisely placed on the mouth piece with the right amount of pressure from the ligature. The reeds make it easy to get a loud, crisp sound that is perfect for jazz.

Great idea! - Work super!!
Sure like the way you just mount the reed and play! Great if you're doing 'doubles' on sax and switching during performing. LIKE these reeds!!

Great!
I have tried several different brands and types of reeds including a Venn. The Plasticover reeds are my favorite of all of them.

Bästa röret. Behöver inte blöta röret så mycket. Lätt att få igång.

Mejor las cañas de toda la vida, no las volvería a comprar gran decepción

very happy with these reeds. They play straight away, without having to 'relax' the reed and play it in. Softer than expected as well. I'll be going up a strength next time.

Anches conformes à mes attentes. Excellentes pour jouer en extérieur.

These reeds play well, and I enjoy that they don't have the bad taste of wood reeds.
