How to Catch a Dragon

Captivating For Little One’s!
I ordered a handful of books from this series and the Dragon arrived today. I was a little concerned that it was too wordy for my 2 year old when I saw multiple sentences on each page. However, the flow of the words, along with the colorful and creative illustrations captured her. By the second page, she was immediately looking for the dragon’s tail and engaged. When we finished the book, I had to check my Amazon orders to make sure I had ordered more from the series and see when they will arrive. We are so excited to add this to our library!

Cute story
While not super detailed in the traditions of lunar new year, this was still a cute story. The pictures are beautiful. There are Chinese translations of the entire text in the back of the book.

Perfect for Lunar Year
I bought this for my young son to get him more interested in Lunar New Year. He enjoyed the book and was able to relate to the character. I love the different language translation at the end of the book. I thought it was a nice touch compared to the other books in the collection.

Cultural appropriation as there are multiple inaccuracies regarding Chinese culture!
Cultural appropriation as there are multiple inaccuracies regarding Chinese culture. For example, Chinese people don’t eat sticky rice, that’s Japanese!
