The quick charging feature gets you back to your music in no time, which is great for those who are always on the move. Call Quality: The built-in microphone ensures clear call quality. The voice capture is relatively crisp, even in noisy environments, making these headphones suitable for taking calls on the go. Conclusion: In conclusion, the JBL Glide 120 Bluetooth headphones offer a great balance of sound quality, comfort, and convenience. Whether you're a music enthusiast, a podcast listener, or someone who frequently takes calls on the go, these headphones cater to a variety of needs. Probably outsourced Chinese neckband, not mentioned in the website and no accompanying app.
Contents of the box: The box has only 4 components. The headphones, the extra pairs of earbuds, a very very short usb c cable to charge the device and a pamphlet. The packaging was decent. But there were scratches, probably happened at the time of packaging. Most important part: User manual is the same as the warranty card. A small pamphlet. DO NOT LOSE IT. Looks: Honestly, it looks absolutely fantastic for something bought @ ₹798. I'd prefer a low profile earbud without these 'wings'. But it looks good enough. Build quality:. The cables look sturdy, the earbuds look soft enough, the neckband is elastic enough and it's firm and retains the shape. The body of the earphones itself is metallic with magnetic property. That comes in handy when you want to pause/stop playing and let it hang down. But, the diaphragm looks cheap. It's just metal coloured plastic pasted over and can probably come off.. (-1* here) Charging the device: The device probably comes fully charged, but I decided to charge it first anyway. When you connect the charger there's an orange LED that lights up indicating that the device is connected to the charger. Charging full should make it light up the blue led, but this didn't happen for me. Powering up the device: Long press the middle button for the first time, the device powers on with a very mechanical voice reciting 'the powering on' that you're familiar with. Yes, it's not a pleasant voice. The pairing isn't all that difficult, you just need to go to your Bluetooth settings and add the device. Fit and confort: It fits properly but it's not tightly fitting enough to say that it wouldn't fall off accidentally. But after around 2 hours, there mild discomfort, probably because the earbuds themselves are a bit on the heavier side. Device info: Vendor (bt card): Shenzhenshi Xinzhongxin Technology Co.Ltd Supported codecs: AAC, SBC Protocol: Classic (BR/EDR) Signal strength (RSSI): -3 dBm (Using Bluetooth scanner app). Using the device: There's volume up and down and the middle power button. You use the + sign to increase the volume. The default hardware volume is too low. - sign is to reduce the volume. Long pressing + would take you to the next song, but wouldn't fast forward the playing song. I'd need to use it for long to actually tell if the device is good enough. But it's inferior to sennheiser cx 275s. The volume is too low, the default mode is deep bass. Press + and - buttons simultaneously to change it to normal mode. Tried listening to Moonlight Sonata, Fur Elise, some pop and rock. Had to increase the volume multiple times without having any idea as to what volume level the device is at. There is no app from JBL (or infinity) (-1*) The device isn't even listed in the official website (-1* again). No noticeable lag on android. But on Windows , there was some static and tearing. I didn't have such issues witg Sony WI C200 or WI C100. But connecting to windows let you know the volume level set in the device itself. Otherwise you'd have to rely on the annoying noise that you hear when you reach the highest volume level. I shall update the review with battery life after a couple of days or so. Edit: Battery life is definitely less than 36 hours. And only at higher battery levels would you ever get the audio quality you desire. You'd need it to be over 90% to get the best volume output. I shall also upload the user manual for further info. You can see the product support page saying 'we're sorry'. This happens on using the bar code provided in the warranty card. Edit: IMPORTANT: THE VOLUME LEVELS ARE DRASTICALLY REDUCED WHEN BATTERY LEVELS GO DOWN. To get the same volume as you did at 100% battery @ volume level 13, you'd need 45 or higher at battery level 60%. And distortions increase at higher volume levels. No noise cancelation of any kind. It's really hard to make calls in a noisy environment. Same goes for media consumption. Edit: It has become increasingly apparent that the earbuds are way too heavy and there's a design flaw which would result in earache. Since the battery is actually not inside the buds themselves as opposed to tws earbuds, this could've been easily avoided abd sadly, they have messed this up. Edit: I decided to increase the rating to 3 stars after using Sony WI XB 400.. The Tranz N400 one punches way above it's weight. SO it deserves 3 -4 stars if it's being sold for less than 800 like when I got it. WI XB 400 costs over 3000 at the minimum, is not rated for water resistance, doesn't have a filter inside the earbud tips, is not compatible with the sony headphones connect app, has got only 15 hours of battery life (as advertised), can not stay connected to more than one device simultaneously.. So compared to that, this one's a steal.. And I find this more pleasant to hear though it's still worse than Sennheiser wired headphones that I am used to...
