Lite Source LS-306PS Halotech 29-Inch 8W LED Desk Lamp, Polished Steel , Silver, 25x28x4.5

Having just purchased this lamp, I am very happy with the purchase thus far. The lamp is very clean and would look great on any wood desk or darker background. I was pleasantly surprised by the fact that the lamp has two adjustable light settings, one being somewhat dimmer, and the other being brighter if more light is necessary. The lamp is very appropriate for small rooms and gives the room a nice glow. The lamp is not distracting when trying to read papers or books. The lamp comes preassembled, so I did not need to put together the lamp which was convenient. I was surprised how large the base of the lamp is, the picture makes the base look like the size of a soda can. However, the base of the lamp is larger than expected, The radius of a soda can is 1.25in whereas the radius of lamps base is 2.25in. Sorry if that is confusing. Pros: Easy to read with Two light level settings Base of lamp is very heavy Cons: The Base of the lamp does get relatively hot after being on for a long period of time, (after an hour I would imagine) possibly sooner. *I will update this review in a month as to whether the bases heat becomes a problem* It would have been great if the arm extended further rather than stuck in one position other than only swiveling up or down. Overall: Very Satisfied with the lamp so far and worth the price.

Purchased 8/2022 - lamp does not work; lite started to dim and will not display with full lumens anymore.

A great addition to any office or home. It looks great and shines brightly with a very nice light. The unit itself is fairly heavy, very substantial and not flimsy. In fact, I liked it so much I bought another.

I have four of these and have repurchased this when one of them broke so clearly I love this lamp. It has two settings and the moveable arm is a great feature. Sleek and modern - not "fussy" which is what I love about this light. It's a halogen so it gets really hot. Also, to remove and change the light bulb is a royal pain and if you do it wrong, you could really mess up the mechanism that holds the glass plate in the light so be careful and read the directions when replacing the light bulb.

Love it. Just love how there are still halogen lamps around and the fact that this one is stylish and gives off that soft, yet bright halogen glow. Also, unlike other lamps (halogen or otherwise), you are able to secure - with confidence - the angle of the arm while adjusting the light itself. With two pivots to work with, it's easy to direct the light where you want it to be. Other lamps always seem to droop or lose tension in their joints after awhile, but this hasn't happened yet with this lamp. It is also bright and lights up my desk space with the exact amount of light I need to work at home. Although it is relatively tall in height, the base is heavy and takes up little space, so I can see people using it as an entry or hallway lamp or something to light up an area where kids are playing where they need the light but you don't want it to be blazing bright enough to disturb yourself or guests.

The switch in inoperative. When you plug this lamp in, the light is on and the illumination level pulsates from low to high to low continuously every five seconds. The switch has no effect. It does not turn the light on or off, and when held in a depressed state it has no effect on the pulsating light. Weirdly, the bulb is an LED, but the power cord is loaded up with a collection of labels that warn the user about the various hazards of a halogen bulb! The lamp itself is structurally sound, and, if it was possible to somehow turn the light on or off or to stop it from pulsating continuously, then it would likely work well for reading. The rough state of the packaging that Amazon used to send it to me indicates that this lamp had already been previously returned to Amazon, undoubtedly with the same complaint. Amazon simply turned it around and shipped it to me!

This is our second lamp as we broke the first one and ordered the exact same light again. The adjustable arm is very handy and it has a low and high button. The placement of the switch on the base is another plus so you don't have to reach up to turn it on. The base is also heavy enough to make the light quite sturdy.
