Compression Packing Bags, Clear, 12-Piece Kit (2-Pouch/4-Carry-On/4-Large/2-X-Large

This product arrived the afternoon prior to taking off for 3 week trip with small luggage. It worked unbelievably well. We were going from temps in the 20s to 70s. The product does work the best on puffy things such as polar fleece, down and wool but even t-shirts, socks and underwear benefited from using these compression bags. This is the new way to travel for me. I would totally recommend using these and you will get the hang and tricks from using them. The one weak point is the plastic zip thing so don't lose it. We didn't as we were very careful. and if you do lose one, you can use the zip from any of the other bags, even those in use. This is one great packing invention that helped make our trip a success. Honestly.

This is the second time I buy this product. Can't recommend it enough. When you are traveling, they solve your packing problems. Once you are home, they are great to keep your clothes and maximize the space available in your wardrobe. They are useful all year long.

I basically bought these because I travel with my pillow. It was great to shrink that to something packable taking up less space than squishing it into a packing cube (for a medium size checkable only suitcase). It also helped make more room packing my cycling gear into an outer pocket on same suitcase. I did not use them to pack a handful of items I did not want to risk overly wrinkling. All in all, for the money I think they are worth having available.

I bought these last minute before a trip because the brand new cheap knockoff bags I purchased simply would not stay compressed. I will not make that mistake again. Samsonite is definitely the way to go for these bags. I love the variety of sizes in this package; they worked out very well for my trip, and the larger ones are now being used at home for storing some clothing. I expect these to last for quite a while.

Most of the smaller bags work fine and have held their seal but the very large ones do not hold the seal, and one of the nozzles actually broke off one of the very large bags so that bag is now completely useless, though not very useful to begin with! Really tough to manage when I'm using them solely for travel purposes.

I love these packing bags. I couldn’t find them in any local stores so a helpful employee at a luggage store found them for me online. These were extra useful in packing compactly for overseas travel, three flights, and a cruise. It’s amazing how much space is saved by expressing air out of the bags. Minor complaint: the little zipper part slides off easily so you have to keep an eye on them. Would be more effective if they were permanently attached. I could have used fewer enormous bags and more midsized ones. Still a five star rating for practicality and price.

Fraudulent item. These are advertised as "Samsonite Compression ... 12-Piece Kit" but it's actually only TWO compression bags and 10 useless bags. This bait and switch item should instead notify buyers in one of the first descriptions of the product that only two of 12 bags can be compressed. Also, the seal does not feel strong or premium. It is average or below average. There's no reason to buy this product. You can get 2 compression bags for much less than $16 that I paid. I want a refund but cannot get one because I bought this too soon prior to my travel and the refund window is now closed and now I have only 2 compression bags instead of 12 to use.

These are good quality compression bags. They're nowhere near the strength and durability of the Eagle Creek compression bags that I use for travel, but the amount of bags you get in this set is a very good value. And I use these in a storage closet, so they don't have to be as durable. My first use was to organize my linen closet. All of my sheet sets are sorted into their own bags (the medium and large sizes) and compressed. I added an index card labeling the size of the sheet set so it's easy to grab the right one every time. In the XL ones I have large quilts and bulky blankets. I used the vacuum hose on those, and they worked well. I went from a full closet to over half empty, with the same contents. I'm about to purchase my next set to keep our off-season clothes put away and organized. I don't know how these would work out for repeated use and abuse of traveling, but for storage and organization they're fantastic.

Made packing for a 6 week overseas holiday a dream. Needed both summer and winter clothes, these made it so much easier to pack everything in! Very easy to compress on the go too as not all the bags require a vacuum.

My clothes were not wrinkles or creased, took less room in suitcase as a result of the compression. The only thing not impressed with - the plastic closure button. It just fell off, but the bags sealed completely without this button
