Small Animal Surgical Nursing

this book is pretty neat for the subject...however i wish my class would have been split better. when you talk about anesthesia and analgesia and the prepping it's hard that the drugs and the prepping part are not separated. It has very good information and pictures and description. However some of the stuff it's like all cramped together. Then again I think it's all how my teacher is teaching the class. We also use the anesthesia & analgesia book for the anesthesia and surgery class/lab. Would def recommend the book, unfortunately someone of the values are different between the 2 books as to what the normal is between certain values.

I bought this for a operation room techniques course. Because I'm on a budget (what student isn't?) I bought the older edition for far less than the required, newer edition. The page numbers aren't exact for the reading assignments, but the book portions are well defined so finding the actual reading material hasn't been a problem.

This book was a lifesaver for me while taking Surgical Nursing. Everything is explained really well and gives the reader the information they need to be a confident surgical assistant. Some of the information overlaps with Anesthesia and Analgesia for Veterinary Technicians, but who couldn't use a little repetition? There are also great images to show you exactly how to preform tasks such as sterile gloving, folding gowns, patient positioning. I recommend this book for anyone that wants a formal education on surgical nursing in the veterinary industry.

I am going to school for my Veterinary Tech, I needed this book. It was a great price and even faster delivery! I originally bought the older addition, this one is much better, and I like the way it is written!

I ordered this for my daughteras she is trying to become a vet tech at college. I know nothing about it since i ordered it for her, but just assume it has in it what she needs to know.

Great book, covers a lot of aspects, both pre, during and post operatively, including complications. Lots of info on equipment and instruments, useful drugs etc.Only thing which could improve it is maybe useful hints and tips for the more personal touch.

this book is really thorough. good for 1st and 2nd years and those already qualified. very well written and in a logical order
