This book provides is a reasonably comprehensive coverage of the subject and is a useful reference book. A reader would need to already have a good knowledge of calculus and matrix algebra to progress through the book. The book would have benefited from a good introduction to FEM in earlier chapters. But as a reference book it is OK.
