Castrol 05226-CTCP Variocut™ C Moly Dee High Performance Tapping Fluid

This stuff is expensive compared to cutting oil but for tapping it really can't be beat. Part of the problem with tapping holes is I end up buying crappy taps from Home Depot or Lowes which aren't too terrible but for them to work right and not load up you need good tapping fluid and this is what we used in aerospace when tapping exotic metals or anything that is tough to tap. One OSG tap(great brand of taps) would cost more than this entire bottle and since a perfect thread within aerospace specifications isn't needed at home this is better than spending tons of money on good taps.

The only product to use for tapping Titanium. I used this with a form tap for 0-80 threads in 6AL-4V and it worked perfectly!

Incorrect description.

Works great for reaming chambers if you don't have a flush system. I add a little with another product called viper venom from Grizzly , also sold on here. A little goes a long way and produces a great finish.
