it works well
I have had some time to use it, I like its tracking, all that is working well. The only thing I would like see changed is the how the light source is put on so it can be polar alined. the little LED attachment is not great, an internal light source would be so much better that messing with some little plug in and it battery.

Way Better Tracking that the SW AZ GTi mount.
Way better tracking that the SW AZ GTi mount. this is a quality tracker for not much money.

Great tracker for dlsr
I bought this tracker for my d. SLR so I could have an easy, light way to take exposure shots of the night sky. It works perfectly and as described. Just make sure that if you are going to use this. You will need an equatorial mount with a wedge for polar alignment.

Easy and no star trails for at least 30 seconds
Really nice and small tracker, works great with easy polar alignment. It only took me 2 minutes to do a polar align and I can track stars without trail for at least 30 seconds. Use SAM console app to find where the Polaris should be in the polar scope and then adjust accordingly, that's it. Done! I did a quick test with it using my cheap 50 dollar tripod at my backyard in a heavy light pollution area. Works fine. Gonna take it to mountains this weekend to test out.

Get Something Else
Where do I start, how about the beginning.1. The first unit arrived damaged, unable to attach the unit to the tripod as the threads were damaged on the unit..it appeared to be a used item so quality control is lacking.2. Once I got the new unit, the website description called "Sky-Watcher Star Adventurer Photo Kit" indicates it is what you need to point your camera at the sky to take photos...not really, you also really need the equilateral wedge which does not come with the unit.3. Bought the equilateral wedge, get it al setup and ready to go...not so fast. the software needed to run the unit will not launch on my phone.4. Reviews of the software on google play are really low and others are experiencing the same issue. Others state that there is "beta" software on the company's website that does work, I was unable to locate it.5. Called customer support, had to leave a message as there is no one there to speak with live, never got a return call.6. the documentation that comes with the unit is horrendous. Appears to be written by an eight grader.7. Save your money, the unit seems to be sturdy, but I am unable to validate if it actually works as the other barriers are preventing me from trying it out.

Nice star tracker
This seems to be kind of the standard for small portable trackers. I’m new to astrophotography and this is a great place to start

Great tracker, meh polar scope, ridiculous color scheme
I borrowed a family member's Star Adventurer a week ago and immediately knew I had to have my own. With even the coarsest of alignments using my Garmin InReach's electronic compass and a completely unverified setting on the equatorial mount based on GPS coordinates, I was able to get exposures out to 3 minutes with no significant star trailing (on a 15mm lens). For wide field astrophotography, this tracker is a dream come true.Unfortunately, not everything is this rosy. The integral polar scope is a hilariously bad way to align the unit, and the included snap-in illumination module makes it even worse. Thankfully, I found that it wasn't necessary for my needs, and a smartphone app can make faster, better alignments if precision is needed. My particular unit, unlike the black one I borrowed as seen in the product photos here, came in an utterly ridiculous white and lime green color scheme. It's appallingly bad, and had I not needed the tracker the same week I received it, would have gone straight back. While I'm not usually one to care too much about my photo gear's appearance, this otherwise professional-looking device was transformed into something resembling a toy. I didn't even know it was made in this color. Had the packaging not included all the documentation I knew it was supposed to, I probably would have thought it was fake.Overall, the tracker gets 5 stars from a functional perspective, but loses one for the somewhat sorry polar scope, and another for coming in clown paint without my consent.
