Read my review first please.
Many years ago, I had a bread maker that was absolutely brilliant. Every loaf came out perfect and they actually looked like commercial loaves. Sadly, it died so I bought another one and I didn’t like it one bit. Fortunately, it also died. I bought another one. I didn’t like it either and it died so I bought another one. I didn’t like it either so I bought this one and I’m going to give a review about this one based on the fact that I have had many bread makers. For the first loaf I made, I used a recipe that I created with my last bread maker that gave me a perfect loaf (the breadmaker was huge which is why I didn’t like it). That recipe did not fare well in the new tower machine. It didn’t want to mix in the beginning (someone commented on that and I think maybe there was too much flour in the pan because today’s amount was less). Plus my first loaf came out not browned at all and very heavy and wet so I threw away that recipe. I made a loaf today using the recipe posted below by Tanelorn. What you see in my picture is how the bread turned out. It’s a very good colour: the outside is not too stiff. I used the dark setting which I usually don’t do but I tried it on this loaf because the first loaf was not brown at all (which was the fault of the recipe, not the bread maker). Also, I find in every loaf of bread I make in a bread maker, I need to use a lot more yeast than any recipe specifies. So I used a tablespoon of yeast in this mixture today and I’m happy with that because the size was almost to the top of the bread pan but it still browned nicely (if you use too much yeast and it rises above the bread pan it doesn’t cook so be warned). As for texture, I still found this loaf was a little too wet so I will decrease the amount of water that I use next time and only add more if it’s not mixing at all which can happen sometimes (you want your dough to be mixed altogether and when you touch it, it doesn’t stick to your finger and it springs back). In regards to the other reviews that are posted: you will notice inside the bread maker there is an imprint of a lock open and shut: what that means is you turn the bread pan to get it out. I see a review on here where someone returned the bread maker because they had a problem removing the pan. Secondly, a person talked about cooking sausages in it and the black coating coming on. I think they’re talking about a different product and put that review on the wrong product. I do not recommend cooking sausages in this bread maker because the bread maker is for making bread not cooking sausages. Another person complained that the paddle ended up in the bread and that has happened to me every single time I’ve made a loaf of bread in any machine other than this one that I made today because when I put the paddle in, I pushed it down very hard so that’s probably the trick so it doesn’t end up in the bread. However, I’m going to have to lift it out to wash it so for me it’s better if it ends up in the bread because there’s a hole anyway that the paddle creates. Plus, this bread maker gives you a little hook to grab hold of the paddle and pull it out. None of my other breadmakers gave me a little hook to get the paddle out of the bread. Then let’s look at the review that mentions that the recipes talk about using cups and this person had no idea what cups were saying that the recipes should use either metric or imperial. So let me set the record straight: cups is an imperial measurement and I don’t know why Google wouldn’t tell them that because Siri is very good about converting cups to millilitres (which is the same as grams when weighing). So yes the recipes are written with imperial measurements but that’s easy enough to convert using any cooking source you can find. Finally, I want to address the person who said what were they supposed to do with the ingredients? Just dump them in the pan? And yes, that’s what you do. You just put them in the pan in the order in which they’re listed because the water should always be on the bottom and the yeast always on the top. That’s how most recipes are created so if you’ve ever cooked anything even packaged food do it in the order in which it’s listed. I am fairly happy with the loaf I got today. Like I said, it’s just a little too wet and dense for me. I think that everyone needs to tweak the recipe to get exactly what they want and that’s the good thing about making your own food because you can make it the way that you want. I thought the machine was rather quiet. It’s very sleek looking and its slim size doesn’t take up excess space in the cupboard. The price was reasonable and it has a lot of functions which I’m looking forward to using. I do recommend this product and if you don’t get an instruction book like somebody else said then go on the website or call the company and ask for one as I’m sure they will be happy to send it to you. I hope this addresses all the issues raised here and will help you make an informed choice. Good luck.

Excellent breadmaker
Absolutely loving this breadmaker. Very sturdy, doesn’t take up a lot of space and the price is very reasonable. Also a very good range of programs. Have not tried any of the recipes supplied with it so can’t comment (purchased Brilliant Breadmaking in your bread machine by Catherine Atkinson) but everything I have made so far has been excellent. Easy to use and the cooked bread comes very easily out of the basket which has a non stick coating. Easy to clean and the viewing window on the top is good. My only gripe (and it is a small one) is that the digital display is quite faint making it a bit difficult to read easily. This machine will be getting a lot of use in the future.

Good for beginners
This is my first bread maker. I've had excellent results with ready mixes from the supermarket, really super easy and the bread turns out great. The manual assumes some familiarity with bread makers - I had to google the fact the the paddle sticking in the bread is no issue and that the hook can be used to remove it.Downsides: no jam programme and not machine washable - I will take both of these requirements onto account the next time I'm shopping for a bread maker.

Fantastic!
This has slowly become a staple household thing we use. The kids prefer home made bread to shop bought as it is more filling, and when it is still warm from baking and the butter is melting into it, it is gorgeous! I recently brought this on holiday to a caravan (I can't believe I hadn't thought of this before), and it gave us delicious breads twice a day for the week. My mother had joined the adventure and she wants one now too. I have only used this product on the basic setting, so just pop in the ingredients and pressed start each time, im aware there is so much more this can do, but we are creatures of habit and I'll admit it took me a while to feel brave enough to try using it because we are all adhd/autistic and it takes us a while to settle in to new things in our space. I would reccomend this to everyone, and do. It is easy to clean, simple to use, the instruction booklet comes with some lovely recipe suggestions to try, and after many many uses this machine is still performing perfectly.Make sure you have extras of all ingredients, guaranteed the bread has disappeared 10 minutes after being ready because it is just that good.

Excellent breadmaker
This is a straightforward, uncomplicated breadmaker and has proved reliable. Others available have 30 or so functions, too many for me. Easy to use and the instructions are clear. I've used the basic recipe only so far and it makes a lovely loaf in three hours.

Useless!
Do not waste your money on this machine! It is completely incapable of making even a basic white loaf! Been using bread machines for years and this thing is a joke,do not buy!

Absolutely wonderful! I wouldn't be without it. I don't buy any bread or rolls now & I make a wonderful variety of delicious bread!

Easy to clean, measuring cup useless, recipes don't give all the information
The reviews for this bread maker were very good, that's why I ordered it, bread comes out easy much better than my previous bread maker Russel Hobbs. Easy to clean. However the measuring cup is useless as the numbers are hardly visible (I had to use a torch). The recipe book is also very disappointing as half the information is missing. For example Granary bread: basic or quick program. The quick program is no problem as you don't have to decide loaf size only the crust. The bread is heavy and doughy. Maybe the basic program will bake better bread, yet recipe does not state which loaf size?!?! I will have to experiment. I just wish the ingredients were given as gr or oz, would be far more accurate. The cake program is OK if you like tasteless cakes, I will have to try to add some flavours.
