Great info and tips on how to market your business on any of the social media platforms!
This book is full of great info if you are starting a new business, or already have a business. Whether you have already been using one or more of the social media platforms this is still a great read, and may help improve your existing techniques. As we all know the traditional marketing ways are a thing of the past, yes some companies still use them, but the internet has opened many doors to other ways of marketing to consumers. This book teaches the general principles, and basics to help you improve your strategies. It covers each social media platform and the ways each one can help you in reaching your consumers. Each social media platform differs from one another in different ways, but you don't have to worry about figuring that out, the books points them all out for you, and the benefits of using each one. If you are very new to social media don't worry, towards the end of the book, it goes a little more detailed about how to create your page, and account profile. I myself am on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. I prefer Facebook out of the three to me it's the easiest to use and probably because it's the first one I started using! On Facebook I do like several Brand pages, either because I like one or more of their products or they do weekly giveaways. The book states that posting to a social media platform is the fastest word of mouth to get something out, yes it's true I see it daily! Whether someone is praising their product or their service good or bad, consumers are listening. I do like it when a brand is using a social media platform because it's easier to interact with the company. But most importantly the company gets consumer feedback. Which the book also covers all of the that, the good and the bad of using a social media platform. The most important characteristics the book advises the company to have are Attitude, honesty, authenticity, originality, transparency, which I totally agree,and consumers, will like you more for doing so but also for the company needs to Listen, Offer, Visit, Engage it's consumers. Facebook has more than 1 billion active users on the site, it is the most visited social network in the world, so yes people are definitely using these social media platforms! Overall this book is very helpful in marketing your business on one or more of the social media platforms. I don't have a business or plan to start one soon, but if ever I needed tips to the social media platforms, I would reference back to this book. I highly recommend it to anyone wanting to start a business or already have a business. I did receive this book in exchange for my honest review. not exactly what I expected...
This book has a LOT of information and I do think it will be helpful to someone that is starting a new online sales adventure, but the chapters are long and often filled with many more words than seem necessary. I purchased the paperback and it was a nice size, seemed well constructed and included color, which is always a plus. Unfortunately, most of the example pictures were so small that I found them difficult to get anything out of. That being said, I did find some useful...or at least interesting...information, but since I am not planning to create an online business the majority of the content was either irrelevant or too "anyone-with-some-common-sense-should-know-that" for me. I only use a few on the social media sites mentioned so learning the basics of the others was helpful. I feel like I have a better understanding as to how/why I get so many "personalized" emails or advertisements from sites I visit regularly now! One big question I have: in the fast paced world-wide-web world, how soon with the specific-to-site information in this book become obsolete? Anymore it seems like there are updates and new formats being released a few times a year! If you are sitting on the fence about whether or not to buy the book, I would say get it, but buy the (cheaper) Kindle version.

Informative book
I found Social Media Marketing: LIKE, FOLLOW, SHARE a very interesting book because I wasn’t very familiar with the social media. It explains how social media can be used not only for personal use but for business purposes. Creating a persona, brand to indentify yourself, your product and service are very useful. The author also states individuals that use the internet are browsers, customers and followers. It is important to understand the needs, tastes and likes of the users in order to be successful in marketing your brand or services. There are 13 chapters in this book that explain concepts of using social media. I also liked the popular social media sites like FaceBook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, etc. were explained in detail. I have enjoyed reading this book and also have a better understanding of social media terminology. I received this free for my honest review and unbiased opinion. The opinions stated are my own.

Good for those brand new to social media
The book seemed a bit more basic than I thought it would be. I feel like it would be perfect, and is likely geared more towards, an older crowd (not someone in their 20’s). If you’ve been on social media since it started, and have any sort of understanding of marketing, this won’t provide all too much for you. There are definitely some good tips and since I’ve been considering starting my own blog, I did enjoy the book. I just found it to be more on the boring side, because it was talking about stuff I tend to do already. I definitely liked the examples that are included all throughout the book, because it gives a good view of what you want your social media platform to look like if you’re trying to grow your network. However, like I said, it didn’t really give me much more knowledge than I already have. I guess that’s more my fault than the books, since I went into it with some education and experience on the subject already.

Great resource for social media marketing
As a stay at home mom, I have often thought of taking my personal blog to the next level. I really did not know the ins and outs of social media marketing before reading this book, so it has been an eye opener to me. As a beginner in this area, I have found much of the information provided in this book to be very helpful and informative. I really enjoyed the screenshots and examples throughout and found the explanation and details of the different social media sites to be a big help. Section 7.10 "Which One is Best For You?" gives a nice breakdown and is a great guide to finding the right platform for your needs. I think that this is a great book for anyone wanting to learn more about social media as well as the marketing side of things.*I received this ebook in exchange for an honest and unbiased review, all opinions are my own.
