Modestly Priced Boombox With Every Feature You Could Want
This Boombox is even more cute in person. It has a switch on the top with 4 modes: radio, cassette tape, SD card/USB input, and aux/Bluetooth.You can play/pause and skip songs back/forward in Bluetooth mode with 3 small buttons on the top left. It connects easily. The sound is medium quality but you can adjust the bass and the volume goes very loud.It uses 4 D-batteries or you can plug it in with the included power cable. The o ly flaw is that there is no power on/off button or switch. Turning the volume all the way down doesn't seem to shut it off.It seems to be constantly powered on unless it has no batteries or the power cable is unplugged.

Durable & reliable
Radio is very small - dial is too small to read & I need readers to see it - Sound is very tinny - sounds & looks like a tubed radio from 55 years ago that I had - this unit wold make a good first radio/tape recorder for a beginner but not for any rich/bass type sound. maybe good to listen to the Beatles or Rolling stones but not for Genesis or any other 80s to day sound. No AM stations however FM comes in good not great but good -- OK for outside dance parties - Use strong Alkaline batteries - Do not use Lithium batteries - not recommended. Comes with regular AC cord - I had it on all day yesterday & it held up good however sound is not Hi Fi Bass otherwise unit is well built & will las a long time if U do not play ruff with it like all these other units on the market. Take care of it & it will take care of U. Played an old tape i did off the radio in the 70s & it sounded decent - Tape is in good shape as well (Maxell with head cleaner on both ends. It is recommended that U use either Maxell or TDK. Do not use cheap no name tape as it will jam & ruin the unit. Like I said take care of it & it will take care of you. Finally this unit passes all my tests. I will give it a recommendation.

Falls short in every aspect.
Wow. I really wanted to be able to love this radio and display it on my retro music shelf. However, there's just so much that is wrong with this product.Firstly, the appearance WOULD be amazing if it weren't for the TERRIBLE quality control. The color of the yellow paint is eye-catching and cute, however, the crude paint job definitely looks like someone hosed it down outside with a rattle can. Orange peel everywhere. Some spots thicker than others. Edges so thin you can see the gray base beneath it, etc.One of the speaker grilles was dented inward (pictured), the cassette player door was sunken in on one side and protruded outward on the other (pictured), and there was a specific button to control track functions for Bluetooth connection that was so caked with overspray from whatever Picaso painted this thing, that it would either get stuck or wouldn't budge at all (pictured). As for the sound, well... it's about what you'd expect. I tried the Bluetooth function and found it to be flat with not much range to it and not all that loud. Being that it has what seems to be 2 substantial drivers, it definitely leaves a lot to be desired. I also tested the radio function which was actually serviceable and was able to tune in to more stations than I would've thought with a decent signal.I know...I know... you shouldn't expect the best-of-the-best at this price range. It's just that I've owned other 'boombox' style radios that I've purchased for much less and they've lasted well over 10 years while also looking and sounding good! I also have a collection of Bluetooth speakers that I've purchased for half the price which have a sound to them that simply blows this out of the water.All-in-all, I was hoping to get something that, at the very least, looked the part. This radio fails in almost every regard. Not sure if I just so happened to be the "lucky winner" or if this is the attention to detail they put into this entire line of Riptunes radios. As it stands, I cannot recommend this and will definitely be requesting a refund in order to purchase something with a bit more refinement and quality assurance.Sorry, Riptunes... this ain't it!
