There is no CAS# on the package but seems to be a near pure package of anydrous potassium citrate (CAS 866-84-2).It is a white, odorless crystalline powder that is mildly tart and slightly salty as expected. We use this daily in our water bottles for the entire family, each time we fill them up. Figure out how much you should have based on your weight - too much will give you some abdominal cramping, so be sure to take into account all food sources that have potassium into your daily requirement.We also make our own salt water and we add both this and the saltwater mix to our water bottles to give essential electrolytes. This combination works fantastic for my regular water fasting, particularly anything over 17 hours.Huge bag and lasts a long time. Non-gmo and no extra ingredients. I had a coupon code for LMNT and I bought the variety pack and included was chocolate flavored and chocolate caramel and chocolate mint (?). I loved those flavors but not the price and I didn’t like the ratio of electrolytes (heavy on sodium lite on potassium). I was looking for an electrolyte high in potassium. So I bought this and made my own high potassium chocolate flavored electrolyte drink. Here’s my recipe….3 scoops of the potassium power, one good squirt of sweet leaf chocolate stevia sweetener and one heaping teaspoon of Anthony Dutch Processed Dark Chocolate powder and hot water. Whisk it up with a pat of good butter and you have a delicious electrolyte drink for a cold winter day. A 15 pack of individual serving LMNT STICKS IS $24. A bag of micro ingredients potassium cost that and has 3875 servings!!!! You can also combine Sweet Leaf Stevia chocolate drops with the salted caramel flavor drops….so good!

Had to break it up physically it came hard

As an RN, I know the importance of getting enough potassium in our diet. Salt and potassium are our most needed electrolytes, but salt can be problematic in those with high blood pressure. All salt substitutes are potassium chloride, but a bit pricey. I fill my salt shakers with have regular salt and half potassium chloride, and we can enjoy salty foods without worry about it driving up our blood pressure! You can use it without the salt, but since our bodies need both, I just combine the two and this pair of octogenarians don’t need any blood pressure medication! Highly recommended!
