Bags are great - thanks. I used my hoover first off for sucking out the air and finished off using the pump to get the last lot of air out & final shrinkage.

I've had so many different brands of vacuum bags over the years, so good, some awful. I've had to buy more and chose this brand as I'd seen them recommended by Good Housekeeping, but mainly because of the 'Verified by Transparency' pledge, which assures you that they're the genuine make, and presumably that they'll work. I don't always want the cheapest option, I'd rather pay a bit more for a genuinely good product and have it work. I've only used one so far but they seem to be decent quality and thickness, and it's so far stayed deflated.

we have had several orders of these bags and haven't let us down, the reason Ihave had several orders is when we have visitors from abroad they seem to go home with more. than they arrived with and certainly allow more to be fitted into a suitcase when sucked down and helps any clothes that have been worn seperated from clean clothes..

It's worth checking each bag upon receipt to ensure they are intact.

They are ok. Do the job

I just used the supplied "large" bag to seal away my 4 TOG summer duvet for the Winter. This is what I found:1. The zips are not fitted when the bags arrive. I got 8 plastic zips in a bag of their own and had to figure out what to do with them. (Not a big issue I suppose.)2. You can only fill the bags to the "fill-line", so for the large size bag, the quoted 80x60cm is a bit misleading. The usable internal dimensions of the large bag as supplied are only 69x57.6cm up to the fill line.3. The stated sizes of the supplied bags are the sizes as supplied flat, i.e. length and width. They do not have any depth. So, when you store anything that has depth (e.g. my duvet), the length and the width of the bag shrink a bit. So for example, the large bag when filled with my duvet (before sucking) measured 64x49x18. That is the size that you have to fold your duvet down to in order to get it in up to the fill line. 18cm was the maximum depth of my duvet in the middle of the bag.4. My Dyson hose didn't fit snugly on the blue valve. But maybe it worked good enough. Dysons have a nobble on the ends of their hoses to fit their tools. The valve that is built-in to the bag stopped it re-inflating for long enough to screw the cap back on after I took the Dyson away.4. After sucking, my duvet has shrunk to 65x45x5cm. The 5cm is a rough average because the final shape comes out slightly knobbly. So shrinkage is better than one third original size, but not one fifth original size (which is what the advertised 80% would equate to).So I'm happy with what I bought. I just feel annoyed when suppliers over-sell their product. It's a good product, they don't need to over-sell it. In particular, the bags are not as big as we are led to believe, and the compression is a bit less than we are led to believe.
