Worth it, huge improvement
I am super happy I got these. They worked perfectly on my dt 990 pros. The sound quality and fit was a huge improvement compared to my old worn out pads. Instructions were clear, although it is still pretty difficult to replace them. Especially when doing it for the first time. There are some great YouTube videos out there that helped me a lot! Would recommend.

Perfect identical replacment
A perfect replacement that feels just as good and soft while being able to hide filth better than the default grey ones. Gives exact same performance.

Worth replacing old pads regularly
Replaced my original DT 880's (80ohm) pads after 8 years of near daily use. I bought the grey pads. Ridiculous I didn't do it sooner. The headphones sound much better (clearer highs, reduced low end muddiness), are much more comfortable, and got rid of any notion that I needed new headphones. Like others have said, the pads are a bit of a pain to get on, but oh well. Took me about 10 min. Totally worth it. The new pads lift the headphones away from your ears compared to old flattened ones, and thus, to me, the original, like-new sound profile is restored. They're a bit quieter because of this, which I didn't expect. Overall, probably a little overpriced, the original design makes installation annoying, but in the end kudos to beyerdynamic for having replaceable pads and making a quality pair of headphones that are build to last.

Worth the money if your headphones are more than 2-3 years old
Solid earpads, fairly easy to install, definitely worth the money vs going third party. Replacing these made it so that my ear was no longer touching against the driver. It's worth it for the comfort alone but the sound did improve as well so that's an added bonus.

Fits AKG 240s
I have a pair of AKG k240s' and I saw a post on the internet that someone had modded their pair with these pads. I am confirming that this is possible. It takes a little work to put on because they are pretty snug, but they do fit. If you haven't changed the pads on your k240s, there's a small cutout section on the rim of the plastic shell around the driver. You can use this cutout section to "screw on" these pads. It will take some time and patience to do so. As far as the sound goes, initially you will probably notice that the sound-stage opens up a little. Collaterally, you will probably also notice your base volume has dropped some. Never fear however, after breaking the headphones in, (by wearing them), for about 4-8 hours the foam will compress and you will have nice balanced sound again. I can't say for certain, but after the break in period they might even sound better. Oh also, they make the k240s even MORE comfortable. I didn't even think it was possible but these feel great!

Comes with the bottom layer too!
is not the same material as the grey ones, other than that is a great replacement. The bottom foam is also included.

Finally replaced my ear pads after 10 years
Go on a popular video sharing website and search "Beyerdynamic DT 770, 880 & 990 earpad replacement" if you're struggling. Set aside a good 30 minutes. (The ear pads are nice. I won't wait another 10 years.)

Great replacement Obviously 🙄 Made by the original manufacturer Thankfully didn’t buy the cheap ones Great comfort, sound curve remains the same or rather feel like brand new The old original one was worn out and the sound degraded quite a bit This made it like the first time bought the dt 990s pro 250 ohm Instead of saving money on cheap ones Which will change the frequency curve of headphones, rather get the original

Yes these are expensive, yes they are a fiddle to fit, but the difference they make is worth all of it. The ear cups on my 15 year old DT990Pro were crushed, yellow and generally nasty, and the drivers were showing through the foam pads. Time for a change. Follow the instructions in the little manual that comes with the ear cups. Try lifting the outer edge of the holding ring with a flat tool (as per the manual) but also get a finger under the inside to gently lift it out (it will pop out with a good click). Then be patient pulling the leather ring back into place. It needs more force than really feels good, but nothing breaks and the end result is tight and good. The transformation of comfort and sound is massive. If you have an old set of BD headphones you owe it to yourself to release their potential.

These are the manufacturer's (Beyerdynamic) replacement earpads, not a copy, purchased from Amazon. I have had a pair of original DT990s for over 20 years and have recently started to use them again. I noticed that the original earpads had no life left in them so ordered these as a replacement. There was an instruction sheet included in the packaging but I had already seen a youtube video online and it was all pretty straightforward. The old pads came off quickly and the new pads were fitted in minutes. I didn't bother with the foam centre as my old pair had a felt material that looked like it was glued in place so I left those in place These new velour earpads appear to be better made than the original pads that I removed and are quite plush and now the headphones are much more comfortable.

Originales, comprados en color negro por darles una estética más elegante. Son un reemplazo de los originales tal cual así que perfectos para alargar la vida de los auriculares, se me vuelven a ajustar bien en las orejas y no tengo tan pegado los drivers al oído.
