Hexane Tech Grade Quart 32 Ounce

Used this to remove old wax build up on furniture that I was refinishing. Very strong smell so use it in a well ventilated area and use it fast. Even with the lid on and a bag helping seal it, this stuff evaporated fast.

Cap was difficult to operate.

This is the right stuff.

I debated the rating on this but the claim of suitability for MMJ extraction suggests a certain level of purity. Labeling a solvent as tech grade, an imprecise term meaning least pure of the grades (lab, reagent USP, etc), doesn't provide cover to mislabel. This product is what is commonly sold as "Hexanes," not "Hexane." Hexanes is a term of art meaning the 65-69 degree petroleum fraction, roughly including about half hexane and the rest methyl heptanes and, potentially, other impurities.I wouldn't extract MMJ with this or use it for any other purpose where reagent pharma/food grade solvent is required. I purchased it as adhesive remover, and for that purpose its very suitable. If the description were clear that it is a cleaning solvent, I would gladly rate it higher, but as its being marketed as ideal for a pharmaceutical purpose, I must rate it against that criteria - and for that purpose it is not suitable.

Use it to clean open reel heads and sometimes rollers, works great

It is a solvent and it works for what I wanted to do with it.
