More than just a sandwich box.......
As much as I have looked, read and studied there is no legit reason to fault this Bento lunch box. Quite honestly I cannot find anything wrong with it and there are not many products I can say that about!.It has a lot going for it:It is made from high grade Stainless Steel, can take a good slice of rock and roll and will still be alive when your average plastic box has long been consigned to the bins!Super hygienic, remove the silicone seal and it can go in the dishwasher. No food or sauce stains.Silicone seal (removable) makes the box watertight, rainproof, spills cannot get in or out.Holds a full size man's sandwich or roll(s) or several of the dainty little things that are passed off as 'sandwiches' in far too many shops and cafes these days. Also room for a bit of salad and other extras. If you are not into sandwiches then there is ample space for a good sized serving of pasta, mash potatoes or whatever your fancy - even a nice sloppy stew as the Bento box is completely waterproof!Strong, simple fasteners keep it firmly closed. Not sure about the pricing......Stainless Steel is not the cheapest material and this is good quality. I'd be happy paying up to about £15 but I do have the advantage of seeing, handling and using a Bento Box. The other big advantage is that looked after and cared for the Bento Sandwich/Lunch/Meal Box should last for years. Five Stars if priced up to £15.00, anything over that will cost it a Star.

Airtight; robust; easy to wash
Sold as a lunch box, this airtight stainless steel box can be used for many other things too – from storing coffee beans, biscuits or chocolate, to picking soft fruit into – and of course need not be restricted to food use.The somewhat mysterious ‘47oz’ capacity would be the weight of the quantity of water (just less than 3 pints) that it would take to fill it. To say that the capacity is 1.4 litres might be more helpful for comparison with other containers frequently used as lunch boxes. The seal, which is more or less total, is provided by a silicone ring. That can readily be taken out for washing, and the entire box is really easy to wash. The interior of the main vessel has a mirror finish, so looks attractive if placed on a table with a salad, a few cakes, or whatever, at a bring-a-contribution lunch, picnic, BBQ, etc. The exterior very readily picks up finger prints, but they aren’t difficult to polish off.The construction is fairly robust: this tin is not likely to get dented in a hurry. The clips at either end may be the most vulnerable part, but they look as if they will stand the test of a certain amount of time. The box would be of limited use without them – the base and lid don’t snap together as a polythene lunch box usually does.

Leak Proof Stainless Steel Food Storage Container
Not really a Bento box as the title suggests (at the time of this review) as there are no separators inside; I think they've just mashed together a bunch of similar keywords to allow the product to be found easier; but it certainly is a decent food storage container which is equivalent to a small sized lunchbox. You can fit a couple of rolls inside or a couple of stacked sandwiches depending on their size, but I think this is more suitable for loose food like rice; pasta; salad ect... just as long as what you are placing inside does not reheating (one downside to it being metal compared to a microwaveable plastic container). The upside of this container is it the solid construction. I have accidentally broken a plastic container just by dropping it, whereas this is going to be more durable. The other thing is not getting that plastic smell on your food, which to me is a plus. I also like how secure the side clips are; they really do lock down the lid for a nice air-tight fit. It's also easy to clean.Overall, this is a product I would recommend, just make sure you know whether a metal container is going to be more suitable for your needs over a plastic version.

High quality, leakproof food box
When is a metal box a work of art? When it’s this beautiful box, made of high quality steel. All smooth surfaces and rounded edges, it has strong Kilner type clips on the outside, and a silicone seal around the inside of the lid. The outer surface has a satin finish, while the inside is a polished mirror finish and those lovely round corners, making this box the easiest to keep clean and hygienic. It’s also dishwasher safe, but removal of the silicone seal is recommended beforehand. The capacity is good – none of those ridiculous teeny tiny sandwiches not big enough to feed an anorexic mouse, but Proper, Big butties, made with normal sized slices of bread, or a baguette, or bagels – oh, the possibilities are endless – cake, oooh yes, Cake! This will also fit a frozen drink to help keep the contents cold and fresh.Impossible to comment on value because at time of writing this item is unavailable.

Removable seals should be more common
This is a simple stainless steel food container. Whilst it's solid, I can see it getting dented in your bag after a few trips or knocks in the bag. It's a very large size, so you could pack a large sandwich and more. There are no compartments, so prepare for your food to be mixed. What I like best is the leak proof seal. It really is leak proof and unlike the seal in other containers, can be removed. It's not super easy to remove the first time, which is good. However once you figure out how, it's straight-forward, and makes cleaning very easy.I know some don't like compartments, but personally the container is so large, I would have liked to see at least a single divider down the middle.Unsurprisingly, this being stainless steel, should not be microwaved.
