I’m going to preface this review by saying this is NOT the first time I’ve molded a mouth guard for my son. Also, I do not like writing poor reviews, but I want others to learn from my mistake and also understand what they’re buying. The texture of this mouth guard is very weird. It is rough rather than smooth. The first time I tried molding it, the mouthguard accidentally touched the side of the pot and instantly shriveled up. So I had to throw it away and purchase another one understanding that error was my fault. I ordered another mouthguard (exact same one) to try to mold it again. This time I only kept it in the hot water for about 30 seconds while holding the tether to ensure it didn’t hit the side of the pot again. I noticed it starting to shrivel again, so I removed from the hot water, rinsed under cold for a couple seconds per the instructions, and had my son try to form it. He hated it! The texture was weird and rough, the top curved in, and he said it was very uncomfortable. It was a waste of money and we will be sticking to the shock doctor gel mouthguard from now on.

This is our 7 year old son's first year playing flag football. We ordered this mouth guard for him in red white and blue. He loved the design. It's a good value for the money. The instructions on how to mold it are very helpful. It's not hard to do. Getting your young child to be still and do it correctly might be a different story :) . I like the mouth guard but I do think it might be a teeny bit too big for him. He can breathe fine when wearing it but he can't comfortably keep his mouth closed while wearing it. Not that big of a deal though.

Followed the directions for fitting to the letter however the guard protrudes forward when my daughter bites down leaving a strange gap. Dunno - maybe I got a defect or something but it definitely is strange and not able to be used. I don't see a return option for it so $25 into the trash and I'll rebuy the one that cost half as much but wore out. Wanted to love it and have a lot of UA stuff...this one, a hard nope.

Bad design and very thick. Even the youth version is way too big/thick for my 12 year old.

Followed the instructions and within 10 seconds in the water it melted and shrunk… huge disappointment… tried to reshape in the mouth and fell apart. Should be refunded money …

Listen to the reviews on this one! Bad news, do not buy. I followed the instructions to mould it, and it went all deformed like the other photos you see here . My son was not able to form it to his teeth. I had to purchase a different mouthguard. Complete waste of money!

is not as easy to mould to user as indicated, required, boiling and resetting twice and multiple uses before comfortable
