These mid-C-mod fans are beautiful, sturdy, elegant, efficient, quiet and centerpiece for any home, dorm, office or—well—anywhere.Life goes by so fast. And, as we've learned in 2020, things can go all pear-shaped in a moment.Don't go through life with a substandard fan. Lasko? Are you serious? They actually have a fuse built into—as in it can't be replaced if it goes out and so they put a tag on the cord saying that if the fuse goes out you are to "discard product."This is a great company. As Aeolus is my witness, I shall not by another common fan again! When you need a gentle breeze in an instant, close your eyes, cross your arms and yell out the word: VOR-NA-DO!!!!

I would marry this fan if I weren't already married. It moves air beautifully, and it's so quiet.Best of all (besides how elegant it is - it seriously is like the Chrysler Building of fans), is that you only have to take out one screw to remove the grill and clean the blades. So I can keep it nice. Love. Recommend. My last Silver Swan lasted over 20 years, and I'm still going to try to resurrect it. But that one is not ice blue.

It's just so beautiful, it's a work of art! VERY solid construction, nice heavy-duty material. Quality product, not loud, blows good. And it's just so lovely, it makes me happy to look at.

2021 purchase. This fan is noisy, heavy, hard to clean, and has defective quality/workmanship. At higher speeds this fan is rather loud. The swivel option sticks and makes a clicking soung (quality). The front grill is very hard to remove, clean and replace. The fan was used only for 3-4 months a year in SoCal, however, in third year of use (BTW, packed and stored in original box for fall, winter, spring) an internal part came loose which has caused a rattling sound and rendered the fan unusable.Since mine is out of return and service warranty, I have no choice but to throw it away, unless Vornado will stand behind their higher end product line. and provide a free replacement and include free shipping to return the unusable, almost new looking fan.

The fan makes way too much noise even on low, it has trouble starting when rotating

Vornado has a superb claims department. I had some issues with my beautiful Seafoam "Vornado Silver Swan Alchemy Oscillating Vintage Fan," and they sent me another fan, without any hassle. The fan had an annoying squeak when it oscillated to the far right, and the fan blades were out of balance, causing the unit to vibrate. My replacement fan still has the vibration, but I couldn't complain again after they just sent me a replacement. I believe the cause of the vibration is the result of an inherent manufacturing flaw since the blade shroud is out of round on both units. China tried to fix the issue with some counterweight blobs of something inside the blade-shroud, but they don't work. I have other, much cheaper, Vornado fans and heaters (metal and plastic) that have performed flawlessly (no vibration). It is a shame that the most expensive and most beautiful Vornado fan that I have has manufacturing quality-control issues. I am happy with the Vornado corporation, just not ecstatic about this beautiful fan at this point. I do not believe that Vornado can fix this particular issue to my complete satisfaction, but I do believe they made an excellent good-faith attempt at customer satisfaction.

Outstanding fan- looks great, high quality. This is my second one and my daughter wanted one for her room. This will last her a lifetime like mine is! I recommend this fan if you want a top notch rotating fan that will be with you for the long haul.

UPDATE: I called Vornado customer service and spoke with Marsha. I told her that the pivot feature wasn’t working and I thought the screw was stripped. She asked if I minded if she sent a replacement knob to try first, which I didn’t. The fan works perfectly now. My original happiness level with Vornado has been restored.ORIGINAL: I wanted this fan for my office. Unless I place it on top of a bookshelf or take it apart, the floor will be getting all the airflow. It is gorgeous, but if it doesn’t cool me down it’s useless.
