My switch wore out on my lamp. Husband replaced it with this one. Works great and it has been working for a long time. Foot switches are so convenient.

Perfect replacement switch for my Pottery Barn table lamp. Has worked fine since I installed it several months ago.

Works really well easy to install just takes a couple of minutes. I have a 20 yr old craft light and replaced the foot switch with these and it works great.

This review is for the three-pack floor switches "without wires".The floor switches work well, but you have to know what you are getting.I am adapting our home to make it more livable as we get older. One thing I"m doing is making lights easier to operate. Caseta switches for main lighting and pull chains/foot switches for task and accent lights.The floor switches arrived on time and in good condition.The installation instructions are minimal, but adequate if you are mechanically inclined.It is nearly impossible to push the wires into the internal mechanism unless you apply a coat of solder to the wire. YOU NEED A SOLDERING IRON AND SOLDER TO INSTALL.Other reviews complain about the wattage rating. Be sure to read the fine print and do not use for high-wattage lamps.Overall, a good product for what it is.

We have a floor lamp that curves over a piano and the switch is in a hard-to-reach place. I added one of these foot switches inline with the existing power cord and it works fine. Others have noted that the leads from the wire are just inserted into the switch unit, which is true. My lamp cord is stranded wire instead of solid wire, so I just twirled the strands with my fingers until they were stiff enough to be inserted into the switch. If that hadn't worked I would have just added a dab of solder to them. Once assembled the cord is not going to come out of the housing because there is pressure from internal parts of the housing that prevents the cord from moving.All in all, this is a good value.

This was exactly what we needed to replace our lamp cord after it was chewed up by a visiting pet. Easy replace for anyone with basic wiring skills or willing to watch a Youtube video to show them how. We did not need two, but hey never hurts to have a spare.
