Rubbermaid Modular Food Lids

We've had this container for over 2 years now, and every time I use it I'm impressed by it. We store cereal in it and it keeps it very fresh. The indentation on one side is a perfect hand grip. The flap lid has a positive-close feel and sound, so you're sure it's closed. The flap lid also stays open when you open it, so that you can easily pour cereal out without the lid getting in the way. The whole lid easily comes off to refill the container, and easily and securely snaps back on. It's very obvious they went to a lot of time and trouble to get everything on this container right. Highly recommend.

We purchased these recently because we are having a problem of ants in our kitchen and needed a way to keep our cereal sealed but easily accessible to our kids. I am very pleased with these containers! We live in FL so with the humidity and heat, things tend to go stale quickly but these keep our cereal fresh and they are air tight so no ants! Win win. Also, they can fit a full family sized box of cereal, we are a family of 6 so that was an important factor for us too. Lastly the price was super reasonable! I found many similar containers selling for much more.

I love the convenience of these containers and they are so easy to use. My kids no longer come over and beg me to open the cereal because they can't get the plastic open. Now I just cut the cereal open, dump into one of these and my kids can serve themselves. They are large so if you get smaller boxes of cereal, these could probably hold 2 boxes. They fit perfectly on my Lazy Susan which makes life easier. And the weight of the plastic keeps them from falling over every time someone spins the Lazy Susan, which always happens with regular cereal boxes. All in all I would definitely recommend these! Especially because the price is so reasonable.

I used to keep cereals in the 1.5 Gallon Rubbermaid containers - they are sold on the same page - but I did not like their rounded footprint - they take too much space. I wanted to find a container that is rectangular in shape, and I also needed it to be the same height as my old containers. There were bigger Rubbermaid containers at my local store, but they were too tall. They also had another brand with flaps all around the lid to close it securely. At first, I wanted to get those, but realized that out of 4 containers in store, 3 had broken at least one side of the lids. I went to search online, and was happy to find this containers. They are the same height as my old ones, so I can fit them on the same shelf, but now they take less space because the space is used more effectively. They do hold less, but it is enough for the cereals I buy. I like that the lids are rubbery and they are not likely to break. The flip top is quite solid, and there is even a little bump under it on the lid to make it stay open for pouring. The shape of the container makes it easy to hold it with one hand. They are also stackable, between them, and also with other container in this series - I have couple more plain rectangular containers, and they could go on top of each other if I wanted to do so. They are also dishwasher safe.

I like this container for my cereal but the top where I pour out the contents is indented and small pieces get stuck between the opening and the end of the top cover. I have to either pick the pieces out of that area or just close the top on the container and shake the bits that are stuck on the top into the trash. It's not a huge deal and I still like this container. It does keep stuff fresh and it's pretty easy to hold and pour from. The price was good at just over $8.00. Holds quite a bit and keeps summer bugs and air out of the food. I do wish the top was flush and not indented but otherwise, I am very happy with this container.

I like to mix regular Cheerios, Multi-Grain Cheerios and a little spoon-sized shredded wheat together to create my own custom blend. This container is perfect for doing that. It holds a lot so I don't have to get all my boxes out as often to do the 'mixing operation'. It opens easily and while, yes, you do have to hold the lid back, it's just not that difficult to do. The blend is not stored for overly-long periods; it gets used up within less than two-weeks, but within that timeframe it certainly stays quite fresh. I can't speak for longer periods. I'm very pleased with how this product performs.

This is a nice basic food storage container. It's easy to use and easy to clean. I am actually using this for my cat's food because all of the pet food storage containers I could find were huge. It's easy to flip the lid, pour the food and snap the lid back into place. It seems to be keeping the food fresh. I buy 3.5 lb bags of kitten food and I can fit 2 of those bags into this container.

Here is the trick to removing the stickers: start in one corner and v e r y slowly peel off. It will come right off without leaving a trace of residue behind. I absolutely despise stickers and sticker glue left on products, and almost didn't purchase this because of the reviews that mentioned the terrible stickers. You just have to know how to take them off ;) I haven't used the container yet, but it seems extremely sturdy and like it will last a long time. My one and only complaint, which isn't a big deal, is that it's kind of noisy to open and close the flap where you pour out the food. It's a very loud click each time! I plan to use it for cat food and I think it will serve its purpose very well.

I have a different one at home. It’s wider. Almost oval style vs flat and vertical. Mine was blue lid. And bulky too. And the pour spout lid keeps popping back open. ☹️ This one. Although several cups less in size than my old ones. It’s nice. And less wobbly. And easier on my hands when I’m grasping it (they are not as wide as the ones I have) I’m seriously considering just replacing my old 2 and get 4 more (I ordered only 1. As I wasn’t sure what this would look like size and shape wise on my shelf) my cereal area will fit 5 of this size (and only 3 if it’s the old size) Very good. The lid was easy to put on I did it ONE handed which was amazing. I didn’t have to play around with the rim to get it on. And most important is the pour spout lid doesn’t pop back up on its own (my current ones do, and it is leaving my cereal stale) Another great purchase!! UPDATE: 😜 I now have 10!! And as you can see. I went for it and decided to buy a few more. I’m no longer using it for cereal. I absolutely love it for my pantry pasta as I order that off amazon usually in one huge order with 30+ lb of pasta arriving. This keeps it so sorted and I can see which ones are low. Before I moved the pasta into these containers. Often time when I do spring cleaning I would find many partial open bags in the plastic bin I store open pasta bags. It leads me to keep buying macaroni. But I probably had enough partial bags to make several meals. Now I don’t have that issue. As I order more pasta ill start tagging the package size it can hold. Since each pasta is different size and shape. Some pasta I can hold several 900 gram bags. Some I can hold much less.

Me Encanto este producto, esta muy resistente y de buen tamaño. Yo lo cllpeebpara el cereal y es muy Fácil de abrir. Lo recomiendo al 100% especialmente si te encanta lo rojo como a mi.

Este recipiente fue una excelente alternativa para evitar que las hormigas y la humedad atacaran los cereales en la alacena. El recipiente es de excelente calidad con materiales gruesos y resistentes, además de ser de buen tamaño para albergar una caja de cereal grande. Como referencia, alcanzó perfecto para 660g de arroz inflado. Estoy incluso pensando en comprar más para tener disponibles varios cereales de forma simultánea puesto que por el momento debo mantener las demás cajas cerradas mientras consumo el que está en el recipiente.

You almost, cannot go wrong with this brand name. As expected it is a great product and will last many years.
