BRIS Halkey-Robert Valve for Inflatable Boat Kayak Dinghy

This was the perfect replacement for the original valve. I didn’t want to cut into the pontoons/sponsons to replace the entire assembly. This screwed right in to existing original Walker Bay valve and a lot less expensive than the $40 OEM version.

Quality is okay, but the threads aren't compatible with the female portion of the valve in our West Marine inflatable dinghy. The interior female component is too big to be inserted through the fitting hole. If you have a West Marine dinghy and need to replace the exterior valve, go to West. You'll spend more but you're sure to get the right part with the right threads.

These are the best valves to use for just about any inflated object. All the RHI boats I've owned have had them, and they rarely fail. I just "super" glued one onto/over a failed dump valve on my twenty year old inflatable bed.

This valve is a generic Chinese valve!!! (SAID RIGHT FOR THE SELLERS MOUTH) If you have any quality equipment like a kayak or a paddle board, PLEASE DO NOT BUY THIS!!! This product is a scam!!!!! Please do not waste your time or money on this. Buy from someone who actually sells a good product that works, such as the brand of your board or kayak is your best best! What a joke this company is, I would put them on your DO NOT BUY FROM LIST.

We broke a piece off of the plastic on our relatively new cheap inflatable stand-up paddle board and this valve was a slide-in replacement and works great. In fact, it seems a little more solid than the value that came with the SUP. I'm pleased.

The valve works ok, and I was able to make it work but this valve does not seem to be of standard design with regard to the wrench used to install it. I have 2 Colorado pontoon boats and a Creek Co. Float tube which have Halkey Roberts valves and I have purchased other HR valves on Amazon to convert truck inner tubes to float tubes. All match the wrench I got with the Pontoons. These valves are designed to be installed with a plastic wrench which has tabs that insert into slots in the top of the valve and allow you to tighten the top portion as you thread it into the bottom portion. As you can see in the image, the wrench has 8 tabs, but the top of this particular valve only has six slots. So the wrench does not fit in this valve meaning you have to come up with another solution to make sure you get it tight and a good seal. It will probably be even more difficult if I need to remove it some point. There are other valves being sold on amazon that have the correct number of slots.

Ordered three of these because they were advertised as my halkey-roberts valves. Not even close. Cheap asian knockoffs. Amazon needs to police these frauds if they are going to support these companys. They dont deserve any “star” rating
