Crystorama Solaris 6 Light Bronze Sphere Chandelier

This is the same chandelier sold by Ballard Designs. Of course, it's a better price on Amazon. We got the large, 6 light in bronze for our living room. The room is long and narrow, 22 x 12 with a cathedral ceiling. It looks absolutely fabulous! It's the perfect size to make a statement without overwhelming the room. We used 40 watt candle bulbs, and it was a little bright. So we installed a dimmer, and now it is perfect. Others have said they left off the glass ball, but I think it is a nice detail. It is real glass and quite heavy. We are very pleased with this purchase.

Let me just say, this is a beautiful pendant light for an entryway or foyer. We absolutely love it, and it makes a wonderful addition to our home. If that were all I had to say about the Solaris 6LT Pendant, it would immediately be worthy of all five stars. However, we did have an issue with our original purchase of this light, and needed to go through a return process/re-order and having our installer come out twice.I originally purchased this as a Christmas gift for my wife and had to let it sit for several weeks before she could open it and several weeks more before we were ready to have it installed. During that time, we did not open the box, but then came the big day, and upon opening it up and taking out all the parts, my contractor found out that a main component, where the down-rod connects to the main pendant, was broken. He mentioned that it seemed like a poor design choice in the way it was setup, that it could be a point of failure during shipping or setup. At that point, I was left with a choice - we could try to rig something up and make this $500 light 'work' or I could contact Amazon and see what they could do for me, seeing how at this point we were outside the normal return policy.Fortunately, Amazon came through for us. They were willing to take the light back, I did have to place a second order so that I could get the light to the house quickly for my contractor, but I would be refunded my original purchase price so it was not a big deal.The second light did arrive two days later - thank you Prime - and this one did not have the broken down-rod, but we could see how it would be an issue. There was a missing collar on one of the sockets, and it was causing the light to arc/short. Some electrical tape fixed that, and its not noticeable.Overall, there seems to be a slight quality issue with packaging or with construction on these, but to be honest, I would not let it stop me from ordering these beautiful pendants. Now that its up, there have been no issues, no complaints and only positive comments from all of our visitors.

Purchased for a covered outdoor room we are building & so far it has been the one thing we have received most compliments on by far. Best pricing I found on this fixture, they are sold several places. Great quality & I am so happy with the purchase. Arrived on time, two days with PrimeShipping which considering the size was a great deal alone.

Saw this light in a number of catalogs/stores, but it was best-priced on Amazon. Hardest thing about installation was the tedious threading of the wires through the hanging chain before putting it up on the ceiling (plus the fact that I was hanging on a 2nd floor vaulted ceiling). Item is light weight and looks amazing. Definitely worth it.

Although the box was a mess when it arrived, the chandelier was packaged well an no harm came from being josseled around. I love it, it is the focal point of my living room and the finish was not too bronze.

I looked for a light to hang at the end of our living room for some time. We have a long, somewhat narrow room, with extremely high ceilings. The light looks great and gets many comments. It was a little hard to install, at our 17 foot height, but we did it. They could leave off the heavy glass globe at the bottom. We didn't put it on.

We really like this light. The crystal on the bottom adds a nice touch. Looks great in our foyer. Well made and provides plenty of light for a foyer.

I made a great choice on the sphere. Nice heavy material with a beautiful crystal at the bottom. Looks great in my dining room!
