Seems like a solid product, but make SURE they will work for you.
Bought in preparation for buying a slide in camper for 2nd gen Ram2500. Didn't know which one I would get and thought I would need tie downs anchors to get it home.Part 1 - Product : In terms of the product, they are super beefy and as long as the direction of pull is basically "up" without too much angle, I would say they would be great, although I am not sure of the load limits. No drilling...good! As others noted, if you don't have full access to the back side of this, it will be frustrating. I had to cut holes in my plastic bed liner to get the bottom support bar to contact the side of the bed properly and then it was very difficult to get to the nuts on the back unless I was willing to cut even larger access areas, which I did not want to do. They seem to have designed it to that square head bolts fit so snugly from the front so as not to require a wrench to hold them and then you turn the hex nuts from the back. Seems to me it would have been better to tack weld the nuts on the rear plate and allow the bolts to be tightened from the front.Part 2 - Fitment : I bought a used Hallmark Ute and when I went to pick it up at the dealer and these anchors were too wide to fit between the jacks by more than 4 inches (they were properly adjusted). Had to remove the anchors and use ratchet straps to secure it and get it home, which actually worked pretty well. My camper also had anchors at the jack mounting plates at the corners, so even if they were not too wide, these brackets couldn't really get out to the extreme corners of the long bed (8ft bed and 8ft camper). According to the dealer, this created undesirable angles at all 4 corners pulling toward the center and allowing the camper to bounce upwards while pulling the anchors at an angle. I would agree with this assessment in my particular case. Turns out that the Happy-Jac system was best for my setup. I did have to drill holes, but it is working well and puts the forces where I needed them. My headline about making sure they work for you is because the seller (Purely Powersports) was completely unwilling to help me in any way even though I contacted them within 30 days of ordering. I understand that even if I would have paid return shipping (UPS approx $55, with no ins and no sig), they would still have a "used" product with a few small scratches from installation and removal, but it was disappointing nonetheless to just have them say "Return window expired" and "used products are not eligible for return". I will probably just CL them and help someone else get a deal for what I paid minus what it would have cost to send them back.Do your homework and don't count on any returns on this, esp since they are so heavy to ship!

They've been working
Finally put these on our 05 fx4 f150. Fitting them in the back of the bed was time consuming, but most things like this are for us. Been in use for 6 months now and still holding up nicely. These seemed to be the best thing out there for our use needs. Slide in pop up camper is being held in where it needs to be. Had to find/ make short enough tie downs, the double ended hook ones. The brackets on front of bed are a little farther back than we think they should be. But again they are holding, working and still in good shape. No rust yet.

Needs more inside support
First off these DO NOT FIT 4th gen ram short bed dually. They are practical for smaller campers but not meant for big 9ft or longer. They tell you to pull at an angle in the instructions. Seems counter intuitive to make something meant to have a direct pull and then tell people to mount from the side. You are literally twisting the bed rail. I used a block of wood to modify the height. I also had to cut 1/2 inch of the interior plate to put the locking bolts in. Sufficed to say I didnt feel extremely comfortable with my 2013 palamino maverick. I can say I would feel safer running a 3 or 4 inch strap from metal loops inside the bed. Thank goodness we will be switching to a flatbed for more storage in the future!

A good product overall, and a good price. HEAVY DUTY, with one manufacturing flaw. Works well for light campers or highway only
These things are HEAVY DUTY--they weigh about 20+ pounds total. The postman would not take out of truck--he simply left a note, stating I had to come to the post office to pick it up myself. They seem to do well. I have one minor complaint--the hole for attaching the turnbuckle is slightly off center in all of these. I don't think it is a design intent, but it doesn't appear to weaken it. It is simply annoying that a made-in-USA product has a defect like that. Oh well--I also have an AMC Jeep, so I guess this product is not so bad. I'm not really clear why the brace screw is a skinny (though thick) rectangle. I would have made it a disk--it is the only part that might dent or dimple the bed under significant load I think. But, so far so good with my camper.UPDATE: I sold the previous camper that was under 800 pounds (4-wheel camper, Hawk, 6.5 foot length) and bought a 1600 pound Alaskan 8 foot cabover. I used these tie down clamps to take the large camper on a 3-day, 2400 mile trip (home from the purchase). the clamps are fairly compact so I had them with me in the truck for such a situation as a camper purchase away from home. Though only highway miles, the tie down clamps worked excellently. The camper, with the the truck's tail gate down, did not move a centimeter. I will not trust another trip with the rear clamps, due to the severe angle of the rear clamps (see photo), but they did keep the camper from sliding backwards. I'm going to use some torklift rear mounts in the future for getting better rear vertical security, but I will keep using the fronts because the angle (about 45 degrees) is good for that position. oh: The clamps produced only one minor scratch mark (about a pencil diameter size) on the inside bed, due to me missing a corner of the pad not covering a spot. If I had a spray-in bedliner, it would not have even shown up.

Not safe for aluminum box
I bought these as a new truck camper owner and wasn'tfully aware or how these things work but after examine my 2017 f150 box construction and placing these tied owns in place it is evident that this is NOT a safe apparatus to be holding down a camper. This aluminum bed is not designed to have stress placed on the bed rail which is simply sheets of aluminum and plastic.I personally believe Brophy is setting up people for failure with this system. The tied down itself is very heavy and I feel would be fine on a steel box.My problem is that I have had them since October. .it's now March. So instead of a disaster...guess I have some extra boat anchors.PS I am a semi retired truck driver with flatbed and chaining experience, when a load is not properly secured,I drive like I am on verge of loosing load. I am NOT pulling a camper around like that.Don't buy these if you have a new aluminum box!!!
