They run big
So my son had been asking for these pants for years but he was too small for men pants. Now that he is a taller and has more meat on his bones I order him a pair (32 waist, 30 length) for reference he wears his pants around the hips, he is 120 lbs and measures 5’8”. They are long so he has to cuff them and I am happy that they are not extremely loose. Looks sturdy and good quality

Can't go wrong with CARHARTT!
My husband is a work horse and Carhartt is his favorite brand because of the quality and durability.

Waist Size Varies
I gave a 4* because the pants lack consistency in waist size. I order 42W x 32H, which is what I received, but 2 of the 3 pairs are at least 43W x32H with how much extra room I have. I have noticed that the ones that fit perfectly for me, are Made in the USA with parts made outside the states. The ones that don't fit, are made in Mexico. This is the 2nd time I've had this issue, so it isn't a coincidence. I'm 6'5", 330lbs, I'm not a small individual and my pant size hasn't changed much in the last 10 to 15 years. I've bought plenty of Carhartts because they fit well, they hold up to abuse, the weight is acceptable, and they are comfortable to wear when sitting for long periods.

These seem to be true to size in the waist, contrary to what others have been saying
Don't listen to the naysayers, these run true to size. Not unlike the B11 models, of which I own a pair in moss, these actually run true to size. And I suspect that's the case with most of their outsourced pants. I own a pair of the b01s for reference, the USA made "firm" variant of the double knees, and while they're great, they actually run small in the waist. Because of this unique trait, you actually have to buy them in your natural waist size, for me this was 2 sizes up from my regular pant size (32 waist --> 34 waist). However, with this model, I ordered them in black in a 33 just to be safe, and to my surprise, they actually fit looser than the b01s I ordered in a size 34. So, based on my experience, you should order these in your regular pant size, if I had ordered these in a size 32 waist like I do with blue jeans, they would have been perfect, just as my b11 dungaree pants fit (those are a size 32 as well). I have a sneaking suspicion that the foreign manufacturers do a better job at matching vanity sizing than the U.S. sizing does. KEEP THIS IN MIND: if you are a thinner guy (I'm 5'11" 150 lbs) and you're thinking about sizing up from your blue jean size because you've heard about these running small in the waist like the b01s, don't do it. These mirror traditional vanity sizing. The mexican made ones tend to be very true to size (which is good!). Quality is outstanding, they drape a bit better and they're not as boxy, these are gonna do well for general yard work that doesn't require heavier than hell, tough as nails work pants like the b01s. They're super loose in both the legs and the waist (partially my fault) but they're also a loose fit cut, so keep that in mind.. I'm gonna intentionally shrink them in the wash to get them to fit better in the waist and seat, but right now, with a belt they fit fine, just a bit loose, haven't noticed any difference in length between these and my other pairs of carhartt pants either, maybe go a size down in length if you don't want them to flare out over top of your shoes or your boots. Go true to size in the waist, you won't regret it.

Decent quality. Lasts a long time.
Carhartt makes the best pants. I have a pair of the double front jeans. I have a pair of the black double front pants. I have a pair of tan double front pants.. now I have these Brown double front pants.

Good for athletic builds
It's hard to find good work pants that don't fit like leggings when you have big thighs. These fit perfectly. The material is thick-- very warm and durable. And so far out of my two pairs neither have ripped (unlike my wranglers). The pockets and hammer loop are great,10/10! (Phone pocket barely fits a s23 ultra with a thin case)

I've been a fan of carhaarrt work trousers for years. They are tough & durable - and age well. Being 100% natural fibre they don't overheat you in warmer weather as does polycotton etc work wear.
