Why did you pick this product vs others?: Very easy to replace. You have to remove the panel, one screw in a small bit of violence. Then it will pop right in.

Fit perfectly…..once we got it installed. Watched all kinds of YouTube videos. They all talked about the 2 clips on each side which ours had but we also had 3 on the top. Hubby worked and worked and couldn’t get it to budge. Finally took a crowbar and got it off. Also took a little work to get the spring in. But, hey, saved us a repair bill. Seller sent extremely fast and well packaged.

The only difference between this part and another more expensive part that comes up as the "correct" part for my fridge is the stainless steel cover. You can remove the cover from the broken paddle and put it on the replacement via 4 small tabs (I used a small flat-head screwdriver and needle-nose pliers). To install, you just need to remove 1 screw (underneath and to the right of the dispenser hole). Pull out and then down on the control panel. No need to unplug or remove anything else. Place the right-angled end of the spring in the hole above the one where the pin goes in, put the pin in the spring but don't put it into the hole yet. Hold everything carefully and use a butter knife (or nail file or other thin flat thing) to move the straight end of the spring into the notch on the paddle. It will be toward the actual front of the paddle and you're moving it to the back side over the top of the pin. Carefully, while still holding everything steady so your spring doesn't come out, drop that pin down into the hole and then snap the other pin in. My spring popped out the first time so I had to take the pins back out and try again, be gentle. Once you get the spring in right and the paddle secured, just snap the panel up and in, replace the screw and you're back in business.

The post on the original lever paddle on my Samsung refrigerator snapped off, and this part is the exactly replacement. I was able to pry off the metal face from my broken part to reuse on this replacement part which is great, and I ended up removing the entire water/ice dispenser control from the door in order to install the new lever - much easier to get the proper angle to install the tricky little torsion spring.

It took awhile, but finally got it installed. Works great!

The factory lever broke and this was a great replacement. Does not include the chrome face plate so you have to carefully remove the existing, but it is fairly easy to remove. Well worth the cost to get my ice maker up and running again.

When I put it onto my fridge it wouldn't stop trying to pour water out. We had to take it off. Also, it didn't come with the metal part that goes over the lever. I would not buy again.
