Mausolea: Oracle of Souls Review: Be prepared to get read for FILTH but with love lol - I've been reading cards for about 5 years now and I've become an avid collector of all things Tarot and Oracle. I bought this deck not so much for reading but because I was entranced by the beautiful dark images. I got the deck and immediately cleared it with smoke. However, it sat on my shelf with the other decks for about 3 weeks before I finally used them. The energy on them was interesting, dark but intriguing, foreign but familiar. I won't they were slightly intimidating, so I proceeded with care. And let me tell you, I'm glad I did! This deck exposes EVERYTHING! There is no hiding in this deck which is kinda ironic cause the images and the energy are kinda dark. And let me say this, don't fear the dark. The dark is harmless, it's what we believe it contains that we fear. It's the fear of the unknown that truly terrifying. But this deck exposes all the creases and crevices so you can address them and heal them. This deck is like the firm hand of a mother. It guides you with love but offers firm correction and urges you to seek accountability. I didn't know it at the time but I was beginning my journey with shadow work and spirit guided me to this deck. Out of respect I only use this deck when addressing serious issues or spiritual issues. It's not light hearted by any means and I feel it would be insulted if you asked for insight on dumb stuff. But don't fear this deck, in fact, I implore you reader to embrace this deck. Look at each and every image and take it in. Some images might be considered a little off-putting but there's beauty in all of them! Also, look for the Dark Mirror deck, they pair very well together and are made by the same Lo Scarabeo company. Review: We need more decks like these - I really hope Mausolea sets a trend in Tarots and Oracle Decks. As someone who is both a collectionsit and a spiritual practicioner, some of the main qualities that I value in a deck is aesthetic beauty and originality, A coherent and versatile internal system on the deck that allows deep readings and the, depiction of inspiring entities and archetypes in the deck. This one has them all. The cards are divided in six different realms and touch important themes about personal development. The entities in the cards feel powerful and enigmatic, in great part thanks to the art, and because you can find both old and mighty deities and abstract concepts personified. The booklet is brief, but thats an advantage. The cards, with its art, archetype and few keywords feels very versatile in a reading and not too constrained by a lenghty and fixed set of meanings. It really puts your intuition to work. But the thing I like the most is that this deck feels balanced. Since the rise of oracle decks, the trend has always delivered more "light-sided", soft decks. That is not bad, but more recently I feel the need for more intense, "dark decks", And this is the first new deck of late 2010's that I can assure nailed it in that department, perhaps on par with Angelarium. Jason Engle's art is really beautiful, and I hope to see more decks from him in the future. The only downside is the size of the deck: 36 cards. But since that is common with Lo Scarabeo cards that alone doesn't deserve one star less.

Would Recommend
I found this deck beautiful with artwork, overall well made, and with a good descriptive guidebook. These were definitely different than what I was used to. They are a little dark. But once I used these for a bit they became easy to use, helpful and informative. I enjoy using this deck and recommend giving them a chance.

Great shadow work, darker deck without being overtly grim...
Love this deck, it has given me some accurate readings for myself. The box lettering is textured. The size and cardstock of the cards is pretty average for an oracle as well as a Lo Scarabeo deck. The guidebook provides short but useful stories of the beings depicted on the cards, which can resonate with readers as they did with me. I would definitely recommend this one, especially for shadow work.

Card Descriptions Not Researched Well
The card art is beautiful. I love most of the designs. Some deities are easily identifiable, others not so much. If you love the images, then I suggest you get them. However, there is one caveat: it seems like whoever did the descriptions did little to no research on the deities and beings in the cards. You may want to go through and come up with personal interpretations of each card. I did for a couple. For example: Lilith is the Thief of Life card. Having something to do with hunger and desires. This is the typical Abrahamic rhetoric on Lilith, which painted her as some sort of succubus or a lilium. Both of which speaks very poorly if a minor "demon" were able to halt God and several Archangels from capturing her. Not to mention, she spoke the Names of God to bar the Archangels from her. No. The story of Lilith was woven from a much richer tapestry to be a cardboard cut-out. Lilith is not only a feminine icon, she teaches us to stand up for ourselves and not to be afraid to be independent. Like her, I'd rather to live alone than defile my sense of self and principles. I don't sacrifice my soul on the altar of society. So, that's my take and UPG. Love it or hate it, but it's mine. So, other than that, the oracle is outstanding and the artwork is beautiful. Just go through and make sure they didn't just scroll through one wikipedia page to write their card's descriptions from.

Beautiful Deck
This is a really interesting deck and fine quality. I like the hard box instead of paper - so much nicer. I use the deck quite often for significator or influences. Love it!

Outstanding and wonderful to read with
I felt so connected with these cards the second i started to use them for the first time. The cards look amazing and I love the imagery. I got deep and accurate readings when reading my friends and giving them advice and they opened a new past life memory for me the first time reading them. Only complaint is the book is a bit small and made it hard to read while trying to keep it open. Otherwise I ABSOLUTELY recommend these cards, mainly for deep inner/shadow work, love them.

I love all the characters and the creativity of this oracle deck, they are all so powerful and dark-whimsy, I absolutely love them. After playing with them I found this entrancing deck with images that draw and pull you in holds an energetic of secrecy with blunt truths that entices one to want to learn more about what lies in the shadows (your subconscious), to reveal these truths that are hidden gems that I found helpful as pointers of what consciously needed light (clarification) on matters I gave readings to clients for. If magical, supernatural, mythological is your love language look no further & buy them! These captivating images uphold in matching picturesque written descriptions to every card, making card pulls this much more enchanting to dive into depths of any reading. Wow! Two thumbs up! The deck is made of a good quality & the perfect thickness consistency that is sleek with a bit of a texture that adds character to them which I love. The box is beautifully laminated with silver gilding, the booklet that is included is well made and perfectly compact sized to the box that made this easy to place within my small purse on the go. Looking forward to trying out some of their suggested card layouts to see what fortunes unfold! Cheers.
