Improvising a mini-table saw lift mechanism.
I'm building a mini wood shop tool bench with a 6" table saw, a trim router and mini drill press. I wanted to be able to lift and drop the saw blade as needed. I made a housing for 2 small DC motors connected to a shaft with the saw blade, and am mounting it to the top of this 6" Lab Jack Stand Table Lift. The mechanism is really nice, it's very sturdy and doesn't sway in full lift position. I'm very pleased with my purchase.

All set screws needed to be tightened
When the stand arrived, it seemed really loose and unstable. None of the set screws had been tightened properly (or at all?). After all were tightened, the stand seems fine and works well. The construction is obviously inferior compared with the name brand lab jack but it works.

Lubricate!!!
This is a very well made gizmo. Actually works as compared to a different, and much cheaper brand, that I purchased first and returned. Initially, this one was incredibly hard to get started Almost impossible to make the top plate rise. And that's with no weight on it. Then I noticed that the more was the top plate raised the easier it gets to raise still more. That's, of course, the higher the top plate, the less is total area of rubbing surfaces against each other. And they rubb because all parts are assembled very tight, which is good, but not a trace of lubrication - not good. I used mineral to lubricate all moving and rubbing against each other spots. And voila, I could raise the plate with the weight on top of it.

Intentionally Misleading
The jack seems durable and well made. However, it's not even 6" tall (including rubber feet), much less 7.2". Also the blue stage is not blue oxide like pictured. It's painted. This paint will not hold up if you're using it in a lab setting. I gave it an overall rating of one-star because this seller is intentionally misleading the buyer. My sense is that the seller does not make this and sells what they have. What you get will probably differ from what I got. There is ZERO quality control. In a lab setting you know what will work for you and what will not. You need to feel you're getting exactly what advertised. This seller clearly doesn't understand this.

I used this as an adjustable table support for my OMT 40 watt laser
I was worried about the clearance since I was also adding a 22mm thick honeycomb work table. To make it work I removed the rubber feet and sanded off the round bumps on the adjustment knob so it wouldn't hit the base when I turned the knob. I also add a piece of 5/16 all-thread so I could adjust it outside of the gantry support. The extra width (over the smaller 4" x 4") makes a stable platform for the table. no wobbling or tipping. I have posted pictures of the way I have it set up.

Nope
Main bolt stripped after 6 months of very light, near zero load weight of use. I’ll figure out something to do with it, but now it’s essentially just scrap parts. I will not be buying from this obvious Chinese IP theft.

It is flimsy, it works but it simply is flimsy
The jacks dimensions were right on! The jack was used to lift a light weight motor. The jack is just a bit flimsy versus other Lab Jacks I've used in industry situations. The jack worked for a non-heated use (going up and down). It would be difficult to use if the object it was lifting weighed more than being light.

Works great
Works great I am using it for a z axis on my fiber laser so I don’t have to move the head when using different lens’s
