ASURION 4 Year Home Improvement Protection Plan ($50 - $59.99)

Claim process was really simple and hassle free over the phone. Part of the claim process requires to send the defective/broken item to Asurion via pre-paid shipping label. Once the object was dropped off at a UPS store; I was emailed the replacement amount paid for the broken object. I’m glad they offer coverage for my purchases.

If I could give a negative star I would! I purchased this to coverage for a $200 fountain. they assured me it would cover a replacement if it was ever damaged. we had a severe wind storm which knocked it over breaking it. it was irreparable so I contacted them...they saidMercy at 18:40, Jun 30:I am sorry to inform you that we won't be able to process your claim today.Damage from floods or any other natural catastrophe such as wind or storms that no one can prevent is not covered under your plan. It's an OUTDOOR fountain! Needless to say put in a complaint with Amazon and canceled all the so called protection plans I had with Asurion...Don't waste your money. Avoid the frustration!

The landscape timer purchased with the Asurion insurance died after 18 months of service. A chat session with Amazon led to the filing of a claim with Asurion that was settled for the full amount of the timer with no issues encountered. I highly recommend purchasing the service plan when buying electronics from China, which is where this timer came from. Same for electronics such as Samsung TV's and other electronic items sold by Amazon. My reimbursement from Asurion was added to my Amazon account with the click of a mouse and with help from both Amazon and Asurion chat resources. I will buy this Service again.

The single shortcoming I find is that Asurion never indicates the product they are covering. On the date I purchased this coverage, I also purchased four actual items that this coverage might apply to. There is no way of determining the actual item you purchased the protection plan for. It shouldn't be that difficult for Asurion to put a note saying this coverage applies to whateve.

This replaces an extremely negative review I posted a few weeks ago. The company paid my claim immediately with an Amazon gift certificate. But I had to go through the process twice, mainly because their default position with any claim is that the product is still covered by the manufacturer's warranty. If you get that response, and you see no mention of warranty in the Amazon product listing, go to Amazon Customer Service and ask. If they say there's no warranty, go back to Asurion and be prepared to hold your ground. I gave four stars rather than five because of this hassle.

You buy something and if it offers a warranty, you buy the warranty (period).Asurion has always treated me right. I go to the site, place my information on the item in question, done. They send me a card for the amount that I bought the item in question about, done!

Good easy way to put coverage on some items you purchase from amazon. I feel sometimes items will last and go on but some time's i am skeptical about an item. Thank you for the service.

I bought this warranty for a replacement water pump after the first one failed after about year, low and behold the replacement lasted 17 months before giving out. Made a claim and instantly got a check issued. good deal
