Great buy, fun toy
This toy is so simple, but the kids really liked it and the price is great. I bought one each for my niece (5) and nephew (2) and they both played on them off and on the whole day. After they got tired from spending a solid 30-45 minutes zooming around like fiends to begin with, it turned out it was a great TV watching seat, though they continued to slide themselves around off and on while watching a cartoon. It was easy for the 2yr old to figure out, very little learning curve, which is good for a 2 yr old's attention span. Two caveats... First, be sure they get put up; they are low to the ground and if you stepped on one of these, the results would not be pretty. However, being so low to the ground helps them be more stable and less likely the kids will get hurt if they fall off, which neither did, by the way. Second, I don't know how well it would roll on carpet, I suspect not that great. On a non-carpeted floor they roll smoothly and easily, though. All in all this was a great buy...I'm waiting for the adult version! Hint, hint, Radio Flyer!

Best fun toy we've bought in a long time!
Our 18 month old and 3 year old LOVE this saucer! My husband and I will each sit on one end of the kitchen and send one of them flying across the floor. They giggle and laugh and have the best time. We originally wanted the one without sound, but it was sold out. Now we're glad we got the one with sound, the laser noises and the "3, 2, 1 blastoff!" phrase make it more fun. It seems really sturdy and well made, I'm actually surprised to say that about a toy made in the last 5 years. It's lightweight plastic, but not flimsy, and it rides on 4 solid casters and has two handles for the kids to hold on to. AND, it's actually made in the USA! I can't remember the last toy we bought that wasn't made in China. I think all Radio Flyer stuff is American made, which is good. Very happy with this toy and glad we bought it. I'm sure someone's kid will fall off it at some point and then it will be recalled, but hopefully not because it is safe. Kids fall off bikes too, it happens.

Fun for kids
I bought this for my 4 year old daughter & 2 year old son. Both love to race & spin around on this. I do keep an eye on my son because if you don't position your behind over the middle of the seat before sitting, it could roll out from under you & cause a bit of an "ouchie", but other than that, it's a great product & lots of fun for the little ones. I would definitely recommend the small "upgrade" fee for the lights & sounds because it really does add to the fun. If it were up to me though, I think this should be around $25 & the no frills version should be about $20, but maybe that's just me! Regardless, it's another well made product from Radio Flyer & the kids will be sure to enjoy it!

Great toy but wrong product came
Auntie wins best gift giver award again :) my 16 month old nephew loves this thing. Note: we purchased this thinking it was the version with a button that plays “blast off” sound effects (based on pictures and description). It is not. I contacted the seller (through Amazon customer service) and was refunded an appropriate amount of money to compensate for the toy being the cheaper version.

Christmas Hit!
I'm so glad I ordered 2 of them - one for each grand kiddo. The grandson is 4 & the granddaughter will be 2 in March. They both LOVE these things! We had so much fun slinging them back & forth across the wooden floors in them & watching their eyes get so big! The buttons make fun noises too. They go fast enough to give the kids a thrill but not too fast for the more timid child. The kids like sitting and scooting around in them by themselves too. You really need to have a hard surface floor to get the most out of them - the kids can only scoot them a little bit on the rugs. We had to show the granddaughter how to sit with her legs crossed in it so she wouldn't put her feet down while we were slinging her across the room :D :D :D

Wheels don't turn, back is too low
This product is a good idea, but doesn't deliver. We threw it away three weeks after purchasing it. I bought it for my 2yr old and 4yr old, but it was a total disappointment. The wheels don't turn, and it's so low to the ground that kids can't really pull up their feet to ride in it at all once they get it going. The back is so low that it's hard for them to keep their balance when they're pushing off the ground. It doesn't pivot easily. Basically, this is a great idea, that's too cheaply made to actually deliver on this one. Save your money. Don't buy this one.

fun for the kiddos
In hindsight I should have bought what I knew my little one liked, but this ended up ok too. She doesn't like it as much as a straddle one she has, but she still uses it so I know it's not a total bust. I think it's the scooting she finds distasteful. It's more difficult when sitting so low, if the wheel base were a bit higher I think she would like it better. Other kids come over and scoot around on it though and say they like it...maybe I'll give it to one of them. As far as the age/size for using it goes, she is five and slender but not a stick. A little seven year old uses it too and he's a normal size too. It's a sturdy, well-made toy that requires no assembly. The shipping and packaging were great.
